if you ask me the only hallmark that could make these games convincing Heroes games is prestige and high quality, they should be games recognisable to the roots and we would actually want to associate with Heroes and be proud to include in the series, because it really is on them to convince us, otherwise they are by default basically fan fiction because no NWC lol
these current Heroes games are less like Alien 2 or Casino Royale and more like Jaws 4 or The Neverending Story 3, complete unacceptable spiritually divorced crap exploiting a name for a quick buck, you can't take them seriously unless you are an outlier like Antalion who believes in your own platitudes, otherwise they don't count lol
the sooner we get a great Heroes spiritual successor Kickstarter the better, because that game and King's Bounty will be the "real" Heroes to buy into and discuss in forums from now on, but Heroes of Ashan and Erwin never will be, it's a false series in sheep's clothing made by a bunch of outsider hacks and pretenders, just literally doesn't follow lol

Alien 2 was CRAP.
Will you explain to me how, after you make a movie called, say, Dracula, your next move is a movie in which, say, Romania, has gone quiet, Vampires killing everyone, and a team of Marines jumps in, to rescue the US ambassador and his family, in case they are still living, will be a good sequel.
Also Terminator 2 isn't better than T1. They just spent 20 times more money on it making a solid action movie for the whole family as a successor of what was a low-budget brutal little piece of SciFi Horror - definitely NOT for the whole family.
Same thing with Alien, mind you. Alien 1 is Sci-Fi Horror, a claustrophobic, dark piece with the added twist of the android being kind of a traitor. Alien 2 is military action. Jurassic Park on amphetamine. (I know, it came earlier).

well, everyone's entitled to their opinions. too bad yours sucks a big schlong.
of course the two first alien movies are different, i never said they weren't. i'm comparing them on how much i like them, not on their genre. don't jump on me unless you want a mustache ride, fella.

Yes, T2 is great, but T1 is as well. The difference between T2 and A2 is that T2 doesn't play in 2026 where Terminators are all over the place. It changes only a couple of variables, creates a new monster and switches sides of the old one.

Alien 2 is just BAD. I mean, who would ever want to see King Kong 2 - Rumble in the Jungle - a horde of Kongs having silenced a banana republic. Godzilla - Isle of Terror: some forgotten US war prisoners can flee from their prison and strand on an island FULL of Godzillas. Good grace.
It's a really, really bad idea. If you build up a SINGLE monster to some horror value, never let it come in packs or hordes. Never.
That's something entirely different with, say, Zombies. A Zombie is basically a rabid dog that someone fed a tranquilizer. You can burn it, destroy the head, hack it into a million pieces. The threat comes from them being or becoming LEGION. Same thing with a rat plague. One rat, even if slightly bigger than a normal one? Not much of a problem. But THOUSANDS?
Alien, though, is the exact opposite. It's the perfect predator. And predators don't come in packs. Except Raptors.

Each one their own. A2 still sucks. It's not even trashy. It's just a big balloon with a lot of hot air - technically solid, but the equivalent of junk food.
Speaking of Sharks, sure, Jaws 2 would have been so great with a whole armada of really big, mean white sharks ...
