No, man, I ain't wearing no white jeans! Those are blue. Pale, but blue.
Quote: Vlaad have you heard about Thorgal ?the archer? Its a comic book.
Yes...!
My favorite episode is Thorgal's origin. Have you read that one? Thorgal is just a boy helping his new friend - a dwarf who must find "the metal that does not exist". A beautiful fairy-tale... Great art by Van Hamme, too!
Other stuff is also good epic fantasy, although a bit too realistic for me.

WHA...?!
You went to your friend's wedding party instead of dressing up in a silly costume and spending that little money you have on children's books?!
And you call yourself a comic fan?! I'm seriously thinking about banning you from our club!!!
This time you will get just a penalty, though.

on a side note..
I saw Sin City and liked it a lot. First i thought..oh yuck it's black and white but after a while I started appreciating it. Kinda reminded me of Dick Tracy (yeah yeah...it's weird)
I have to say I haven't read the comic though.
Entertaining movie. Next in line is Batman begins and Fantastic Four.
Great pics Vlaad and congrats ( still whenever I see you post I see the crown pic LOL)

I never new this thread existed...
although that may have something to do with the fact that I very rarely visit Other Side.
My all time favorite comic which I still read to this day
(can't read part of a story and not finish it ) is, now don't laugh:
Yes, Sonic the Hedgehog. I started reading them when I was seven and it's just been an ongoing habit. In a way this comic's evolution reminds me of the thread Let's Have War in the Glade. It started out real goofy but got better over time once they realized it was so popular. So after reading this thing for some 13 odd years you would think I'd finally put it down, but I can't. I feel stuck to it somehow. I still have all my old issues boxed away somewhere. probably in the garage.
My next fav is
I love these. Another one that is hard to put down. Yeah I like the old spiderman comics too but this one is different. If you havn't read it yet I suggest you get an issue.

Uhhhhh, what is with the freaky batman and robin pics? Am I to understand that they are in some way related to my continual reading of a comic that I have been reading since a kid? I'm not getting it. As far as Spidey goes, yes Amazing is good but I was also stating that the fact that Ultimate is done different is what has me reading that version in particular.
Going back to before...is there something you're not telling us here? Do you have these pics hanging on your wall or something?

Those paintings were available for sale online, but the fans (or their parents? ) were shocked, so DC sued the author in order to ban his work and website.
They have no other purpose but to be "freaky", like you said.

About that Batman and Robin love story,i would sue them too for making such pictures.
Sonic was one from my favorite heroes when i was a kid,
its nothing wrong about it that you are reading it again and again ,im was doing it with one old Czech and Slovak comic book called Ctyrlistek
good reading

Lol!
Maybe it's the same guy who tried to create such story in original comic. When the publishers realized what was he trying to do, they fired him, so he started to paint of his imagination....weird :/

I'm not much into new stuff myself, but I was told Marvel finally offers FREE comics online. Reading those, that is. You need to register to view them, though.
I've also find an interesting top list of the best American comics in 2005. Has anybody read any of those...? I've always loved Space Ghost, although never seen a book... Surprisingly, Daredevil is #1.

I`ve never really been a comics fan, but I just thought I drop in my 2 cents.
Of course I`m familiar with those Italian comics that were popular in ex-Yugoslavia, my favourite was Tex.
Also, I liked Asterix, Lucky Luke and my probably favourite - XIII. Has anyone read that last one?

What about Zagor?! Everybody liked Zagor... Tex...?! My father used to read that... How old are you again?

Asterix and Lucky Luke are classics, some of the best comics EVER.
I haven't read many issues of XIII and I'm always surprised when people list it among their favorites. What did you enjoy so much...?
Did you know there has been released a game based on XIII recently? Have you played it? It's said to be done in comic book style!

I think Zagor went out simultaneously with Tex...
Anyway, the game XIII is mediocre at best so not much fun there...

I know, but it has always been a typical spaghetti western, something my dad would like. All my friends were crazy about Zagor... Not that it was a good thing, mind you.
