OK, let's if some of the HC:TNG people read comics...
Has anybody read Marvel's Civil War? I thought it was as epic as their Silver Age stuff.
I didn't care much for Planet Hulk, but I loved World War Hulk so far. What did you think? Is it just eye candy or is there more than meets the eye?
What about the current Green Lantern storyarc - Sinestro Corps? Great pencils, even greater inks and colors. But the best thing is the story started where I stopped reading years ago, with the destruction of Oa and all. It was nice to see all those familiar faces again. However, I was so disappointed they kind of retconned Parallax. I thought Hal was a great but boring GL, a father figure as it were. His evolution to a god-like character and finally to the next Spectre was both logical AND compelling. And now we find out it was an alien parasite?! Of all the stupid... Bah!
But the book I'm really excited about at the moment is Persepolis (part 2). Those familiar with Maus must not miss this one!

Growing up in Greece I did not have much chance to read superhero comics, I mostly read Asterix(brilliant, the series was never the same without Gosciny), Iznogoud - I'm sure many know the evil vizier -, Filemon and Mortadello and Comix that featured Disney character comics from Karl Barks, Don Rosa, Floyd Godfredson etc.
Lately I have been reading some webcomics, mostly the funny or fantasy variety. From the more serious there is darken(definitely worth taking a look - evil parties are fun ), sorcery101(Buffy themed but more mature) and lint(almost cliche fantasy ).
For some laughs there's Least I could do, Order of the Stick, Looking for Group, Ctrl+Alt+Del and Out There.

@ Elvin
Good links! My favorite online comic is The Perry Bible Fellowship, featuring somewhat "morbid, surreal humor". I also enjoy American Elf, although those are not jokes with punchlines.

All the best comics have already been listed in this thread... If you're looking for something fun, I recommend the ongoing Green Lantern title. The Sinestro Corps storyline just ended with spectacular #25 (you could wait till it's collected in a trade paperback though ). The epilogue - the arc that started in #26 - seems promising as well, although I miss Reis's artwork.
If you're looking for something serious, here's a list of recent books for mature readers:
Daniel Clowes: David Boring (Pantheon Books, 2000, 116 pages)
Alison Bechdel: Fun Home - A Family Tragicomic (Houghton Mifflin Company, 2006, 232 pages)
Jason Lutes: Berlin, Part One (Drawn & Quarterly, 2001, 209 pages)
Vaughan & Henrichon: Pride of Baghdad (DC, 2006, full color)
Adrian Tomine: Summer Blonde (Drawn & Quarterly, 2002, 132 pages)
Jessica Abel: La Perdida (Pantheon Books, 2006, 275 pages)
Linda Medley: Castle Waiting (Fantagraphics Books, 2006, 457 pages)
I am aware most of us cannot afford 10-50 bucks for these hardcovers, but the good news is I've found all those titles in the local university library.

@Vlaad: Your Gotp comic is awesome! And I have read some of the Marvel's Civil War, only beginnig and end, but I still found it good.
Has anyone read the earliest Batman comics. They're great until Robin shows up, I just don't like him. Shouldn't the dark knight walk alone?

But usually in comics characters don't really "die", they just come back soon or someone else starts using the same name and has same powers.

Jason Todd (Robin #2) eventually returns as the Red Hood. It would certainly be nice to have the ability to come back from the grave every few years or so. The whole being locked in a coffin thing would kinda suck though.

Yeah, Sonic Adventure is the best, especially for those little cute things called "chao" that you can put an animal on them to have them get one of its charactristics.

I gotta be conservative with my posts, lest I get locked out.
I don't really read western comics per se, but I keep up on the mythology of the various characters. I do read manga and have a decent sized collection of various series, including One Piece, Bleach, Trigun, and others.

I actually meant the comic book, not the game, which is why I posted it here.
