Back to the topic, I agree with you completely Jebus... I see more merit to Draper than Doan.. but still I'd have picked another.
Spezza playing with Heatley shoulda been a no-brainer - I can't believe Spezza isn't there as a lock.
What about team USA - no Roenick? C'mon....
It's a youth movement. Not sure what they're thinking. Sure puts a lot of pressure on inexperienced players to step up. The one that really puzzles me is Commodore in favor of Leetch. Leetch must be on his last legs if they're leaving him off. Leaving off LeClaire could be a mistake as well....Canada leaving off Crosby is interesting. He would benefit from being used in a defensive role on the checking line. It would also give him big-game experience that will come in handy in the next Olympics or World Cup. He won't get that in Pittsburgh for at least a couple of more years. In addition, it would make him a better 2-way player, which Pittsburgh really needs in order to cover its porous defense and shaky goaltending.

Staal would be good there. I'm not sure that Crosby's ready to be on the top line yet. He might do well on Sakic's line where there's not as much pressure to score, or you could put him on the checking line where he could learn to be a better two-way player...Jonathan Cheechoo has 18 goals for San Jose. He's another player that was overlooked by Team Canada.

Hockey eh... welll
I played hockey in year 2002, when I was in year 6 at primary school, played it for one year and we won the grand final, although I was not the best at it, I still gave it a fair go, and I seemeed to enjoy it
I also played indoor hockey or "floorball" for about 3 or 4 years just for fun, every monday afternoon we would play and just have fun, and I was pretty good at it.
I played outdoor hockey because a friend didnt want to play with no friends or whatever so he asked me if I wanted to play and I agreed.
I wasnt the best but I still gave it a go, and it paid off I guess.

I admot some where pretty bad but I honestly dont think it would of made much difference though.
I am not just saying it because i hate dallas as much as you hate Vancouver.
Vancouver had it ever since the second score.
Dallas panicked & some of the calls made it worst.

What are you talking about? I don't hate Vancouver - I happen to love Luongo, and with the Leafs out of the playoffs - I always cheer on the remaining Canadian teams. Even Ottawa...
It definately makes a difference when the officials call a game clearly to one teams advantage - the team that's getting killed by the refs starts to feel pretty defeated, the goalie gets bombarded - and the special teams get exhausted played a man down throughout most of the game.
Horrific calls are a part of Hockey... but c'mon... Turco got knocked flat on his butt while the officials stood there and and watched, and Dallas players were getting sticks called when there wasn't even contact.
When its game 7 in the playoffs the refs should put the whistle away unless there's blood and let the guys play hockey. And I'd love to know how they call tripping on one player and diving on the other...how the heck can it be both?? If its a dive, that means there was no trip - if the guy was tripped then there was no dive.
It was sick. Turco played so well too... I hate to see any team get robbed

I really thought Crosby and his Penguins will go further than just round 1. But Ottawa played it well.
Sabres vs Rangers will be a great competition this round in my eyes.

Did you know that Crosby was playing with a broken foot?
The Penguins just need a little more experience - and stronger goaltending, they have amazing young talent - but the kids were playoff virgins - whereas the Sens have plenty of experience in the post season and a lot to prove.
Did anyone watch the Ducks and the Canucks last night? Even though Anaheim had their way with Vancouver - once again it looked like the officials were in their pocket lol I was waiting the officials to skate over and start open mouthed kissing the Canucks - there seems to be some real love there

San Jose is going far.
Yea I know we got 5th seat.
You got to also remember, we only got like what 5 tied games.
While other top seats got like 30+ ties to get a better advantage.
Thats why we got the better advantage.
We can finish our games
Only prob we always had is we choke

Okay complete change of subject but I guess this is still on topic.
Who's gonna win the world cup?
I say Finland.
It's about time we did it again.
The swedish ******* always take it away from us
It's not that I'm bitter... not at all...
And anyways Sweden's preliminary group is way too easy
Well?

After the last olympic final we can't get anything done so live with it.
Every match and every period won...
...except for the final BOOM!
We lost to Sweden after beating Russia easily.
What a shame.
What a shame.
USA will win this year.
Sadly.

I hate those swedish...people.
Remember when we were leading against them 1-5 when there was about 5 minutes left... And ended up losing 6-5
Now that's a shame.
