I was playing the last mission in necro campaign, where Arantir had to take over all the Griffin Empire cities, then put necro heroes on some stuff near those castles to unlock way to Inferno's main city.So there i was playing fine, took almost all of the blue player's(Griff.Emp.)castles and was about to take last one when i see red player(enferno) coming from nowhere, next turn he attacks me and he has about 5 times the army and better hero.So i load autosave and continue gathering some army and finally decided to take chances and go after him.He was running away and got into castle,so i attacked him in the castle.(battle lasted about an hour)
And the battle ended me losing and him having 16 succubus seducors left. But i could have won if i had a ammo cart and wouldn't waste my spell.
Here is the battle replay
And btw,"Asha uses all"

Maybe you should better stay with DoTA. No seriously though the AI was just downright stupid in this one. If he had charged you you would have been minced meat for sure (and why didn't you summon an avatar of death?)

thats whole reason i attacked him in castle.Avatar of Death? if thats that dragon, then i would waste all my mana(52 pts) and that dragon has 1k hp.Wouldnt help as much.
Here is the last battle of Necro's mission.I thought i was gonna get him good, but then i miswatched the cerberuses and the almost killed half of my army. And the AI in this one was even stupider then in last battle. It kept cloning cerberus and devils during the whole game.

Playing necro against fortress. Dark master expert.
The fight was relatively under control, had a few important losses but nothing tragic. His thanes where in a critical position to reach my ranks and about to attack soon. Time to puppet them.
The initiative reduction was not enough to pull them back, yay! There they act! Oh boy, so many cute runes for me to use! Was does this round one do again? Click, EXORCISM, Puppet master gone, thanes attack with luck and finish off my stack of wraiths.

Well, I don't know if this falls into noob tactics or epic defeat, it certainly seemed to me that both were involved.
I'm just back from a game (2 actually) with Elvin on his latest duel map (so armies and heroes are of equal strength by default), and both decisive losses, but the second one was by far the most memorable.
This being during the day, I thought my mistakes would not cross into the ridiculous and the fantastic like they did at 3 AM (they did) and that my brain, which I am ordinarily very proud of, would produce some leverage against the mistake advantage that I'd still inevitably give away (it didn't).
So:
1. Sorgal versus Quorc:
I had hoped to win this game by piling up Initiative on my darkies (mass haste and ring of celerity), and waiting for him to open up and strike first and hard, without selling my Raiders too cheaply. I didn't take Destructive or Dark magic because I judged them to be worthless against Elvin's probable Luck of the Barbarian (which he actually had) and Shatter Dark (he might've had it, but no apparent perks).
With this and his 19 Attack he clearly had the advantage, but I hoped that a good first shot by my units and having a whole lot of initiative would give me a fighting chance.
As it turned out, my initiative was only a bit better than his and, after being unable to kill a stack with my first attack (his defense was 6 to my 9 attack and expert attack), instead losing the power of two of my own, he managed to sneak Executioners to first strike over 3 or so of my units with a Haste from earth daughters, and everything collapsed from there. This enabled him to nullify my Witches, killing 2/3 of them and leaving Hydras as my last powerful stack. By now, there were also Centaurs and Cyclopes moving in, and he cleaned up after that with less than a lot of effort.
2. Biara versus Ossir:
Might stats were 23 and 1 for me against 6 and 17 for him, so a minuscule edge for me there. Magic stats turned out not to matter, mine were crappy but I had enough mana. I had expert Gating, Luck, Dark, Attack, but no initiative items and no mass haste.
I did not destroy even one of his stacks, and all but the dryads (7 out of 140+ left) and dragons (5 of 8 left, 1 before a Resurrection) remained at full strength, until a meteor shower by summoned pit lords may or may not have taken out 1 unicorn. That was it, no other losses except my entire army and a good number of gated and summoned units (all mine).
Nobody can beat us for the most one-sided game award , it is impossible to lose this badly even if you try, short of refusing to attack at all and just suiciding your stacks.
On top of that, aside from judicious teleporting, Elvin didn't need to use any trick, just point to my dudes, click and watch.
Now, Elvin mentioned his experience, but of course he didn't actually use it in the second game, since my units just gave up and died, and my two big mistakes helped them out with that.
Edit: Sorry for the 6 month bump, but this is still a record.

heh this was an amusing read. i take it you must be new to this game? i think you would have more fun playing someone more your level; i doubt elvin would be able to pull this off against a veteran
but just a few pointers: you can't hope to match your warlock's army against the barbarian's army in a purely might oriented match, even haven has problems doing that
inferno is a difficult faction to play properly because of the conflicting nature of its units and the faction's specialty, gating
on top of that you faced ossir, one of the top sylvan heroes. actually pretty much all of the sylvan heroes are good lol.
