Great map Jinxer! Have played it through against the ai and had a lot of fun!
The only problem was waiting 10 mins 4 my turn while the ai got stuck in the portals! Is there any way to speed this up? Maybe seperate the 3 single 3 way portals into 3 seperate portals at each place for those of us who like playing against the computer?
Prettty please....

We finished our game with Elvin.
I had very good impressions only needed ages to realize where I am going. I did not even try to watch out Elvin's movement.
The only thing bothered us is caravaning.
For blue, caravan blocks main monolith, for green, caravan blocks access to underground tunnel near main town.
I like player controlled garrisons, it was more interesting that way.
We have not met with staff of underworld and ring of speed. Is it accident or I missed something?

Fantastic map! It might be enough to get me playing a game or two again
Whats peoples average break time, I tried a week 5 break that didn't go so well, I won but with major loses.

I'm lately getting hesitant about some things. The way I see it you are FORCED to take some skills and might factions have an upper hand. I will explain.
In my latest game enemy Haggash got warpath and my Havez just logistics. When he came knocking month 2 week 2 he had 10 levels above me, all thanks to the insane movement he had. Yes he did also have the boots but this is ridiculous and gamebreaking. Even if I had taken warpath I'd have to give up swift mind that is a necessity, especially is battles of such large scale.
Next come the skills. Against such insane odds the only way seems dark. Light will not help unless you have a tough army, destructive would be a joke unless with a warlock...maybe...and summoning DEMANDS certain spells in large battles. Actually only phoenix, arcane armor(hmm..) and phantom forces(one out of three) could help and you are not even guaranteed to get them. There goes freedom of choice.
Some spells are strictly required to help magic factions that would be totally helpless if they don't get them. What is the point of spending all those hours in the game and lose because you did not get them? And why is there a light tome but not a dark? I could care less in a game like RR because you can still pull it off and the game is much shorter but here.. I am well aware that there is utopia and pyramid but even they are no guarantee. And I suppose the sunken temple but here's the next funny thing. Orcs simply get a ballista and start claiming whatever they choose. Why should magic factions be restricted to certain routes and still be at risk of not getting the right spells?

well in my expirience (not on that map but on all maps) ,orcs are too easy to play espetially haggash ,like you said get warpath(they even can have snatch with it so if you need to sail somewhere no problem) ,war machines ,tent flaming and the only way you can win against them is with dark (ofc orc will surely go for shatter dark)
i've had many battles with and against them and i think of all races they must have the best percentage of wins(many of them me or my opponent had better army and hero than orcs but with they insane dmg and damage reduction you muct be pretty lucky to beat them)
it's little easier with less army on 1 castle maps ,but they are very powerfull there also
if the map has memory mentor it's tottaly unfair to other factions
also in my opinion free shatter magic on some maps is a mistake
what i see as a problem is that orcs are almost 100% played the same and it's very hard to counter their build

I think orcs are overpowered ... Only cure to this kind of thinking it's to play orcs vs really good players ... After playing orcs vs Willgefors, Firedragon i don't think they are so powerful By the way Willgefors consider Haggash the most powerful and imbalanced hero ...

Elvin -- I am suprised that you are just now finding this out... ORCS are way to overpowered on ANY AND ALL MAPS! Its just the way UBI made them... And yes you made a very good yet OBVIOUS observation... Usually the ONLY way to beat ORCS is with Dark Magic... no matter what town you are playing... if you are facing orcs.. you MUST MUST MUST take Dark Magic in order to compete agasint Orcs. Again that is NOT a Map failing... but a UBI one.
And also... by week 7 even without Warpath you should have almost your entire side cleared for the most part... so he shouldnt be 10 levels ahead of you... Now if you said he come busting thru start of week 5 with 10 levels ahead of you because of warpath... then I would say that is BAD... But week 7 is actually quite long for a medium size map.
Keep in mind Genesis is a complicated map with infinite strategy possibilitys and paths and options and choices... But I would suggest that you not play vs. Orcs in any game unless you wanna start and play the game from behind Again thanks to UBI
**** Also... I am making a list of balance issues that need done when the time comes for the next map update... seems that Haggash needs to be added to the list of banned heroes.. Feel free to offer up any suggestions and ideas and comments... I love feed back.

Well in shorter week 4 maps I've never had any glaring problems, the only advantage they had was faster creeping than most. Yet they could still lose as any other.
Of course I had cleared my area but he had also cleared the champion/angel garrison and come to my town week 6 day 2. As for this being ubi's and not the map's problem I only have to repeat what happened when I faced sylvan with necro and lack of puppet or phoenix. Yes orcs are good but without the right spell availability pretty much out of touch. Academy in particular that has no native dark guild and should hope in library - yeah right.
As for Haggash she's been scaring me for some time now Strict earlygame or strict lategame she has amazing potential, maybe she should be banned in such maps? At lvl 30 her centaurs get +30% init and not only kill fast but you can barely scratch them if you add enlightenment and a call of blood. Then there's a big stack of chieftains that keeps making them act faster Now I've faced centaurs with and without Haggash and while good they normally aren't that much of a hassle.
Anyways these are just my two cents.

well here is my 2 cents... on my map Art of War I've play as Orcs 3 times against Sylvan "hero" style... (with a 2'nd hero as a picker)
I've not even been close to beat those elfs in final battle..so who is talking about whos power...
(well some may say that I'm a bad Orcs player.... and they may have right

Okay... with much feedback and many testing of map... here are some of the current things that are planned for improvement and balance in next Update of Genesis... Please give me your thoughts on the list.. and any suggestions to consider adding to list.
- Re-activate guild to level 5 in 2nd town.
- Add Haggash to Banned heroes list
- Add 1 relic to underground passage. So both ways have 2 relics.
- Fix couple caravan blocking issues.

If tome of dark will be added, all other magic will die on this map, will be only battles with light and dark magic ... For example sylvan with dark, rain of arrow+frenzy all the time are nice ?

Hmm had forgotten about rain of arrows.. I suppose the only thing to be done is increase the chances then, guild 5 in 2nd town and an arcane library could do the trick.
