Yeah, music is a downside in this game None of them are that great. They are not bad, but not mesmerizing like in the previous games. Only the snow theme and Inferno theme are really good like the old ones. And I hate Necropolis theme; funfair.

No, he has a point.

Odium, I DID play MP and I HAD more fun with H6 than with any other heroes game MP.
Only 4 resources is NOT bad in any way. If you have 7 you are often simply limited because you don't have the necessary resources AND NO WAY TO GET THEM. Which means, certain builds are simply out.
Now, however, it's more like that you can build SOMEthing, but at the expense of something else.
Makes things more interesting.
However, the relation between mine income, findings and battle effort to get a few resources doesn't seem right.
But that has got nothing to do with number of resources.

Playing with Russians players needs a "translation software" between Kyrillic and Latin letters to communicate - same thing with Chinese.

In H5 I wasn't all that thrilled that some units were nigh impossible to build unless the map had an abundance of resources not to mention how some factions were a LOT more dependant on rare resources. Of course H5 went overboard with resource requirements, compared to H3 the prices were ludicrus. That is not to say I find the current requirements fine but.. it is kind of better as far as balance and mapmaking goes. I have talked with a few tohers and they actually liked this change since resource management remains crucial throughout the game.

It isn't a joke. A poor attempt at one, yes, but not a "joke".

Still it adresses the three of the biggest weaknesses in H6 right now: Weak Artefacts, Poorly executed Skill System and Blood Crystals in general. (why not b!tch about Inferno's HUGE penalties at attaining a "perfect score" while we're at it?)

I like the resource cut down a lot. When i was a child, i liked all these sparkling objects and symbols. But now, it's really just redundant.

When playing in Multiplayer, the player who had no access to his main resource (like Sulfur for Inferno, for example), had an disadvantage. He couldn't build his town as fast as and couldn't reach his T7 unit as easy as his opponent. so he was likely to lose.

sorry, but how anyone can dislike the new resource system is beyond me.

Maybe some people still like having sparkling objects and symbols on their adventure map?

That's your problem, don't you think? My problem is that instead of improving something that has some flaws but is generally working fine, they decide to scrap it completely. And this "now everybody is fighting over the same resources" is pure nonsense - the necessity to fight for resources different from gold expires roughly at the same time when it expired in the previous Heroes games. Get the top tier creature upgraded and forget about 80% of the economy management. Some fighting... Maybe the next Heroes should have only gold as a resource?

That's map design and dwelling costs... The idea itself is sound, it's the implementation.

imo the old resource system had an unnescesarly large amount of resources

what we need is a completly new system

My suggestion would be to have Wood, Ore, Crystal and a truly rare resource.  On an average map there would be like 1-2 mines of it and the production would be weekly. It would be be used to buy anything. For instance a building could cost 5000 gold, 10 Ore, 8 Wood and 5 Crystal or be bought for X of the super rare resource insted.

Another thing I would like is high yield mines, similar to how Sc2 has high yield crystals and gas. There would be special mines that produce +3 Ore/day etc and those would be fought over in central locations on the map.

I have wanted to see a truly rare resource in H6 for a while. Something designed to come in very low quantities, whose role is special.

I'm open for rethinking the ressource system, but the current system where everything costs Wood, Ore, Crystal and Gold is just too bland for me. We had a long discussion about this previously, but I think a system with 3 or even 2 rare ressources would have worked much better for the way I like to play, as that would have allowed for some variation between the dwellings on each tier.

I understand that for people who like competitive gaming less ressources can be nice, but for me, being stranded in a dead end with nothing to do because you're low on one ressource just makes for a lot of boring waiting time, where I liked having the option to plan my buildings so that I still had doors open even if I get low on one ressource and wait for it to replenish. And besides that, there's also an element of blandnes in having only one rare ressource on the map.

Adding another ressource in an expansion would be easy. Building costs could be adjusted accordingly.

The main problem with the resource system is not the fact they've reduced the resources.

What irks me is that how DIFFICULT it actually has become to actvely build stuff in your towns. Bloodcrystals are extremely hard to come by, and you will need at least TWO mines in order to able to hire all upgraded champions in your town.

That's ridiculously steep, especially that you can't exactly skip both Town Portal structures either, which are INCREDIBLY important and should be placed before you start exploring beyond your capitol's zone of control.

With more resources you ar least have more leverage to trade them at the marketplace... given that you just barely get the amount of gold needed to recruit soldiers, you can only afford bartering wood or ore for crystals, usually at a very low rate. In H5, you can still trade spare mercury, suphur or gems, and each town clearly had no need for at least ONE of the four "raresources" meaning each player always had a minor financial safety net. With three raresources being abolished, it simply IS more harder to use Marketplaces and/or otherwise get the resources you need to economically develop yourself.

Either crystal production should be enhanced or more trade resources  should be made available, point blank.

Coincidence? I think not!!!!

Hmm.. expansion I don't think so because some people would play with 4 resources an some without the expansion with 5? Maybe a doc but anyway we need people to protest and write on their forum ( when it is going to be up ) and fb page, not just saying ur opinions. Maybe they can do something about it, but I don't think....
