I think I understand now. And if I do, I think it's less low expectations and more not looking ahead enough.
Also, DarkMess1ah. JJ is one of the members of the VIP-club along with Elvin and formerly Cepheus. Or at least he heavily implies he is.

So... Now I "think" that Thunderbird is a new creature but it will appear only in cut-scene. In the first addon it will be a part of new Academy lineup. Why Academy? Because one of "new heroes" in "Pirates..." is an Mage  .
Maybe... An Wizards of Seven Cities will try to "catch" or "tame" some of Thunderbirds and they'll create a storm (full of thunders ) on sea (that sinks ships). I'll never be a writer .

I think they'll have an enlarged H6 phoenix to be the thunderbird.

First we had the Wizard faction listed in a beta map editor, then the brown Rakhasas art, then the Academy Artifact and now a Wizard Hero. Who doubts about what faction will be next one?
But Limbic can't make it. Who will make it?

I heard that big part of needed models and graphics is already done, but it's only a rumor...
I hope "Ubisoft's person" will (ever) read this:
Ubi! Please! Make Titan boss, not a champion. I love academy faction, but 5th appearance of titan as "best creature" will be... boring.
You have enough courage to change Necropolis champion. Everybody loves the Spiders! We need new "guy" to replace Titan. Dragon Golem?

No, everbody does not love the spiders 
But irregardless, you'll probably get your wish granted, since neither arch devils or arch angels are in this game.
The champion will probably be rakshasa or roc, although I'm all for the return of the dragon golem.

Haven doesn't have arch angels but they have angels.
I think Academy will definately have gargoyles, golems, mages, djinns and, last but not least, titans.
It's a question of gremlins and rakas or replacing them. Remember rakas are too close to naga faction now so should not be in..
Although each faction does have very human-looking stacks....I would love to see more creatures in H6 line-ups: aligators, basilisks, manticores, bears, etc. everything on two legs can get a little boring.

Yesterday, on M&M Fanday in Poland announced a lot of new information.
Pirates of the Savage Sea will include:
- new hero - Crag Hack and 10 normal heroes more
- "Pirate set" - new 6 artifacts
- new conflux weapon - "Sword of pirate king"
- new achievements (7-8)
- new building for elementals recruitment
- 10 hours of playing
- new map "Varn" and 4 new heroes
New 4 factions will be include for 100% and sold in boxes, we don't know any dates.

I agree with Avirosb, that not everybody loves spiders and even those that do have some major problems with them.(Formswitch anyone?)
I'm all for the return of the Dragon-Golem(Construct? Golem makes less sense if it is piloted), but I doubt it. Ubisoft has been harshly criticised for not pandering enough to the fanbase and I'm not sure wether they will want to risk whatever credibility they have left. And people/fans clamor for Titans.
As far as the line up is concerned. I'm fairly sure that Magi and Golems will return, seeing as it isn't Academy without them. Rakshasas have proven very popular in a great deal of surveys, so they'll probably be in. I think Djinn are likely since they fit the theme Academy has going for it so well. But then again nothing is sure as they mixed other stable factions(Haven & Necropolis) up rather heavily as well, so don't be surprised if thing get thrown out. I hope Gargoyles get thrown out, cause I don't find them very fitting for Academy.

Yes, you're right. New 4 factions will be included in expansions, but Erwan didn't say when it will be announced and released. He said that first they want to fix all bugs
