Sylvan...
Sylvan will win the poll, no doubt about it.
I've seen the screenshots and I am disappointed that they have too many animals. I'm hoping for at least 3 Elven units.
Elves are the driving force behind Sylvan. Animals will make it look like a faction of neutral creatures.
I. Anyway, what do you think is the theme for Sylvan?
With the Orcs taking the Native American theme, I think they will do Sylvan differently. Will it be Celtic? Heroes 5 Sylvan was sort of Celtic. Will it be African?
II. Creature Lineup
I think there should be at least 3 elves.
For Hunters, this will do:
Blade Dancers should be cooler this time, not those she-males from H5. This is a very good model for blade dancers:
Give them good skills too. Those H5 ones are just useless.
Then the Forest Wardens, this guy is perfect, without the crown ofcourse.
As for animals, we can have deers, pegasus and unicorns. Mantis (Xerox' idea) and Treants for champion units.
III. Heroes
I already love how H5 Sylvan heroes look. They should model their heroes the same way as H5 but blending to H7's UI.

I think this "Male dominance" in all these medieval fantasy games is so outdated. Like really, what are we showing to our children, that woman can't fight, that they are just some tokens to worship or robots to use? I think we should take Japanese approach and put nice round shapes on EVERYTHING.
Not only female spirits and humanoids. But I want to see nice round shapes on wolves, pegasus, worm, dragons, golems, insects.... If we make everything nice and round with an unisex name nobody is shown in a better or worse light.
Who the heck wants to look at sweaty man all their gametime anyway.

I wished for the same, but as already someone mentioned in another thread, they will most likely go for an Elvish Faction and would not mix it into Sylvan (big mistake but there you go). I guess we can just wait and see.

Considering that Limbic stated that none of the four factions to be voted upon has been developed yet in earnest AND that we as the general public will get to vote upon some of the line-up, you cannot possibly have seen screenshots of the Sylvan line-up as it will end up ingame.
I've seen one screenshot with what appears to be a battle featuring Sylvan on the right side of the battlefield, but that was from a fan-made mod for Heroes 6. It had nothing to do with what Limbic is creating now.

I'm sorry for being a jerk but here goes:
We hardly see women in the frontline. Make them die in war like men do. Implement selective service in such a way women are also affected and I will join your cause in voicing out their inclusion in every war game. Yes, I mean that.

And I will grab your tongue just with this line "Targeted to a specific market" Do you have any idea how many female players of heroes there are? How big is their part of the community? I can tell you from my experience that heroes as a non-gender specialized game has one of the highest number of female players!!!
And these players come here, see your posts and are disgusted, offended and insulted.
Heroes is not an all-boys game. It is a nice game that you can sit to with your she-friends and even Girlfriends to have a nice time with it. I myself have shown this game to most of my GF and all of them loved it, still love it, and keep on playing it. Several of my friends play it with their GFs and my sister plays it with her husband.
So tell me, my male unit/hero wishing friend, why should they not have units and heroes to identify themselves with? Why?
Why should they not have any representation in these games? Why?
ESPECIALLY IN A FACTION LIKE SYLVAN, WHICH IS MOST LOVED BY FEMALE PLAYERS.
Think about it before you post your next gender oriented post.

I never succeed in convincing my female friends to play any game outside farmville and the Sims.
But ok, I'll take your word for it. Since there are no statistics, I still doubt this game has female players that is more than 10% of the whole Heroes gaming population.
Sucks that I wasn't here during H5 era. I wonder how people reacted to the "creature lineup". No, I'm serious. Any of the HC veterans can tell me?
Anyway, I'm not all-out against the exclusion of female in HoMM. If you read my fan fictions, I included female creatures and 2 out of 6 female main heroes in my campaign. Now, I just want one faction that is all-male. Just one.

I don't remember any complaints about the lineups other than too many elves/dwarves/humans etc. If anything some found the blade dancers.. kind of gay. Heh. The only complaints were about the dungeon female units being snowty.

I'm hoping for less generic elves and beasts (stags, bears etc as creatures). Ideal line-up:
Core: Pixie, Hunter, Satyr (give them two blades and you have blade dancer without it being an elf)
Elite: Dryad, Unicorn, Druid
Champion: Faerie Dragon, Terratoise

Hello, everyone, long time lurker here extremely exited for mmh7, hope ubi will not screw up this time
Sylvan was my favorite faction in Heroes 5, so I hope they will win the voting. Anyway, back to the threads subject, I think that Sylvan MUST include at least one more animal exept unicorn and green dragon. I mean, come on, they are one with nature, trees, flowers, all that stuff. Why not more animals? Wolfs are now in Haven, bears would be with dwarfs, so what about bobcat? There were even an artwork of it in Ashan Compendium, even tough it was a steed of the hero. I think it would be great and creative. Also, please, no more blade dancers, they were the single thing I didn't like about heroes 5's Sylvan, simple elf with blades. Not really imaginative.

It depends on what animal it is. If it is something overused, like a wolf (not in mmh7, though, wolfs in Haven is something new) THAN it's boring. I haven't seen bobcats in fantasy games at all, that's why I say it is something fairly original. Loved the tigers in h4 too, by the way

Didn't Clash of Heroes have deer as creatures? I would love to see those back. Also Unicorn and Pegasi would be nice

Yeah, a deer would be nice, fairly original. Not the pegasus, though, it's too similar to the unicorn, and we can be sure unicorns will be in.

Yeah, leprechauns would be cool, but didn't they retconned all the humanoids exept humans, elves, dwarfs, angels, facelesses, nagas and some magically summoned, like titans and djins?

Pegasi (if they exist at all in Ashan) I imagine either aligned with Ylath or as another experiment of the wizards. The wizards being more Indian themed would rather use flying carpets than flying horses.
As neutral a pegasus seems a bit weak and too similar to unicorns, so I would go for a pegasi rider of the Free cities. Maybe as upgrade of the nomad
