Supposing we take the route of emphasising the Faerie instead of the Dragon.
Make them more akin to the Pixies, Dryads and Treants, according to the current lore, and make them forrest-spirits with plant elements.
Exactly, we've got enough of 'Dragon Gods childrem', it's time to have more variety of creatures.

I don't want a HoMM game full of Weise Frauen, Tiddy Mons or Ratatoskrs.

I Think still that the dragons for Sylvan should be Green Dragon/Azure Dragon but i also Think it would be viable to have a caster/shooter/flyer faerie/fey Drake for them like an elite creature. not nearly as powerful and not a real dragon, a drake like this

Most of the images are from deviantART. I made the picture in Photoshop. If you do not know how to use Photoshop better alternative for such simple pictures is the good old Paint. I'm glad you like it. Elves live in forests and tigers (or other wild animals) would fit nicely in their lineup. In HoMM3 Silver Pegasus are very effective against archers and between the two horses I will choose Pegasus.
I had another option, Treants as an elite unit instead of Unicorns and Phoenix as champion units. However, I think the Phoenix will better fit in Fortress lineup.

Well, that's your preference. I think we should respect the original culture of specific creatures included into the game. They are really few, so I can't understand why you've written "game full of".

i kinda feel the same way if i understand you right. local cultural names are bothering me. its feels like playing within alternate world rather then a fantasy world. i mean hey look this is south american, oh hey look this japan etc etc...

I don't know why is this hate to dragons. I think it's important to have dragons in fantasy world like this in heroes games, also because of dragon utopia which is one of coolest buildings in heroes

Yea but this will be only second game located in Ashan universe with dragons. Can't count Heroes VI because this dragons were just copy paste one from another just colors changes and some minor details
