I like this lineup, as it maintains four of the original Sorceress/H5 Sylvan units- Winged level 1 creature, Archer, Unicorn, and Druid... but what the hell are Terratoise? I'm assuming some sort of Earth Turtle?
That doesn't seem like a bad idea. Low offense, high defense type of creature. It would be interesting if they had some sort of skill where they have a chance of forcing nearby opponents to attack them, hence keeping the fragile backline unscathed.
Also, no animals. That deer in CoH was a sight for sore eyes. I don't mind a magical looking deer à la Princess Mononoke or even a Hind-looking creature like in Warcraft III, but that's it.
I like the concept for Pixie here- that floating leaf, lol. But I won't mind if they went with a more traditional look like in COH.

To be quite honest though, the H5 Sylvan design I found to be the most superior. From the Native-American inspired Elves, to the Pixies, to the Unicorn tattoos. I'm hoping they keep it that way. Alien-looking Dryad looks more spiritual... I suppose that's the point? We shall see.

It is a creature I came up with several years ago. Several other boardmembers, Xerox among them, became enamoured with the idea.

Judging by this text from the official site, we're getting a rider unit.
The main body of the army is more heavily armed and armoured. Elven cavalry is mostly light cavalry, again designed for speed and manoeuvrability over shocking power. Riders will fire arrows or throw spears from horseback, eschewing heavier weapons like lances.
The most obvious thing would be a Unicorn rider so that would pass as a new creature.
One of the biggest H7 related questions to me is the two champions of Sylvan. Phoenix would not really fit the Earth-worshipping elves. Maybe Treant is upgraded? A completely new creature is possible as well. Not to mention that if Dungeon makes it the game, would they do the Dragon overload again (it's also safe to assume one of the Necropolis champions is going to be a Dragon as well)?

I really hope they woun't do a rider unit. Unless the steed is something creative, like Dungeon's raptors from HoMM5, the unit will be boring.

Please, no. It is almost guarnteed the faction will have unicorn because, lets face it, no Sylvan is complete without unicorns. And having two horse-based units is not interesting, and many will complain about it.

Well, we've got our rider that is original! It would be awesome to have a normal lynx, without any riders, though.
EDIT: in all fairness, since the article about elves is pretty much copied from Compendium, I don't really expect any rider units (except maybe that awesome lynx rider, maybe)

That Lynx rider would be good yeah. So we can expect 4 Elven units + Sprite, Treant, Emerald Dragon and one more Champion I guess.

I am pretty positive that Treant will be another Champion as everything else seems much weaker and they were almost second Champion unit in Heroes 5 with how high their HP and defense was.
If we consider that Dryad, Hunter and Blade Dancer(or some other unit alike) are Cores, Unicorn and Druid are Elites, we need third Elite that is not mounted, some fast walker/cavalry when we have Unicorns already. But maybe they will replace the Unicorns with Lynx Riders and add something else, who knows.

I'm sorry for being a jerk but here goes:
We hardly see women in the frontline. Make them die in war like men do. Implement selective service in such a way women are also affected and I will join your cause in voicing out their inclusion in every war game. Yes, I mean that.
Let the Dwarves help with that, i'd like to see female dwarf units since in the lore (and many other dwarven lores) the females are about as strong and able as the men, they can smith and fight and drink and often grow badass facial hair too. Hell, make the Bear Cavalry females!
