Melee skill disabled. Cool idea. Could you also disable some annoying magic skills too? At least some spells which are unfair?

Please, disable:

Confusion (not fair)
Mass Cancellation
Genies, Song of Peace
Water Elementals, Quicksand
Summon spells (not fair to have non-real troops as fodder)
Town Gate, Teleport, Mass Dispel
Vampires

What's up with that sanctuary?

It was greatly toned down in 3.0.

Warcraft 3 - sleep, well, it is not unfair, easily dispelled by manually attacked the hero who has it on itself.

Well, about potions, that's another issue. I'll have some ideas just as Jinxer has banned immo potions (no you won't, cause it helps magic heroes better than might ones, am I right, Jinx?)

Is it no longer Mass Sanctuary? If it still sanctuaries EVERY unit in your army then its to strong.  Just summon water elementals and re sanctuary and then summon waters and resanctuary etc, or cast disinegrate then re sanctuary.  It is like an IN battle hit and run.

Basically sanctuary should only be cast at best like cloud of confusion or something but never on ALL units.

Sanctuary

Right from the manual:

While under Sanctuary, a friendly target cannot be attacked or affected by spells. No more than one target can be in Sanctuary on each side. If the target takes any other action then "defend", the spell ends.

Manual lies then.  When Sancturary is cast, all stacks in your army gets the protection.

Yup, manual lies. Not only all troops get into sanctuary, but you can also move your troops without leaving it.

I've just tested it.

Jinxer you are mistaking again, once you see the animation for it you scare off and quit, but it's not the way you say, after leavin sanctuary you can't get back in for 6 turns, also you can't buff your units up unless they left sanctuary already . Sure it gives you bigger tactical advantage but it's a freakin' level 5 spell, comparable to desintegrate, summon something, steal all enchantments or hypno and hand of death! It's a bit stronger than the others but they need help.

Imagine a game where life doesn't get sanctuary vs. chaos, nature or death, even order ... they're screwed !!

its the COMBO of lev5 spells and monstruus maps producing GMdemonologists that make sanctu situations look like a freakshow

im personally dry out of mood for game, having played last2 games on that IPmonster
