Yes I have to agree Insatiable.  My newest map will focus more on creatures. I am also burnt out on the 5 Mega hero thing.

Valky you are starting to talk gibberish just like your buddy azure.   SUre Sanctuary is 5th level spell, but when 1 player can deal massive amounts of damage to other guy for 3 rounds while you sit there unable to do anything except cast bonuses on your own guys, it is a bit huge.  A 3 round head start is more than just a small help.

But back to what insatiable said.  Sanctuary wouldnt be that bad if not for the 5 level 30 heroes etc.  Just like Hand of Death is weak when you have 50 Angles and can kill 7.  But on a smaller map where you have 10 angels then hand of death is devistating. So the map is crucial.  So why dont map makers eliminate the spells when the map calls for it.  Like IP should have sanctuary removed etc. So my newest map will try and focus on more creature based, and exp 95% from fights and not freebies.

How do you imagine that 3 round headstart?
Why should the other guy just sit there for three rounds? What will you make that damage with?

Is it no longer Mass Sanctuary? If it still sanctuaries EVERY unit in your army then its to strong.  Just summon water elementals and re sanctuary and then summon waters and resanctuary etc, or cast disinegrate then re sanctuary.  It is like an IN battle hit and run.

Basically sanctuary should only be cast at best like cloud of confusion or something but never on ALL units.

i never heard about resanctuary spell, this  came automaitically every time you cast one of those spells above?

Well, I have just tried a battle with two level 25 GM life heroes, 4 Angels, 5 Champions against 2 GM barbars and 5 frenzied Gnashers.

My first hero had GM life + GM tactics all.
The second had GM life GM nature all, they had all the spells capable to learn.

Still I could not do **** with the life army. Sanctuary did not help at all. BTW, it does end after 6 turns.

Of sitting idle while you're doing your stuff, if I have no better option, I can still do some summoning, dig up all the field with quicksands for your Crusaders, or just make sure that all my army have Mirth cast on it just in case you would move one of your units out of sanctuary .I agree it is a tough spell, but it must be.

Though I'd still prefer the way it is described in the manual.

heroes 4 maps seem to be better then 3 because in 4 and complete you can click and drag trees and items in map editor with i believe that halfs the time in making a heroes maps.

Corrections:
_Teal side glove, on right bottom desert, now accessible by both ways(one was blocked)

Changes:
_Random Altar added to each side

_Black market, in rocky middle, Prices modified: Ring of health- 16k / Shackle 12k / Glove- 10k  - you may purchase as many as you like

Walkabout 1.1, Deep Kick 1.5, and Under the Bridge 2.0 should all be posted sometime tomorrow (Jan 4)

Walkabout 1.1 changes:
- laelth noticed a bug on his map Coldhearted where L4 creatures could make it through the guardian gargoyles without dying.  This same bug was present in Walkabout regarding creatures that the altars give.  it's now fixed.

Deep Kick 1.5 changes:
- disabled prison in middle town so that if player kills nearby garrison of opposing player (with hero in it) while the player owns the town, that hero will not go into the middle town's prison so that if the other player captures the town he gains that hero.

Under the Bridge 2.0 changes:
- made ring easier to get.. 1 black dragon and a L17 lich (no artifacts) now guard it.
- replaced random major (behind the dragon golems, bone dragons, faerie dragons stack, which also guards a random relic) with shackles, to prevent H&R tactic by barbarian(s) and to prevent unending games.
- some other minor changes, including some increased peons on certain stacks, and removal of one major behind each L4 stack in swamp areas
