Wow, nice idea about the Hellfire dude!
Also I feel it's better if you need to get an ability first to make Fire spells work that way -- otherwise they will simply damage your troops normally. I feel it's better that way

Probably needs a requirement though, hellfire most likely. But that would probably overpower the ability.
Note this would ALSO make Demons imune to enemy fire magic in a sense...
And it STILL leaves that major weakness against Dark Magic

And still. Pit lord needs two meteor showers And higher initiative
... And armageddon for Archdevils or Pitlords Pit Lords may not have good mana for it though, I'd say it would suit Archdevils as a final suicide move maybe.

Or should we also add a "cleanse-like" effect?

I mostly fear Puppet Master.
Personally I don't like the cleansing effect of fire magic, as explained above, I don't like fire in a non-offensive way But that's just me.

I also have an idea for SoulFire (to improve it ofc)
When Demon Lord consumes corpses, they may suddenly explode in a burst of fire, blinding all adjacent creatures for three rounds, including those under hero's control

How about bringing back an old H3's special ability: Fire Shield?
Don't know which creature though, one that gets targetted a lot perhaps.
In my opinion not cerberi or Nightmares, I always pictured it like this:
Archdevils and Pitlords gate.
Cerberi and Nightmares charge, get killed.
2 stacks of archdevils resurect both stacks as pitlords.
Leaving you with 2 stacks of Archdevils and 4 stacks of Pitlords. Never brought it into practise though.

It's possible on very big maps.
I tried it once in a battle againts my brother at Rise to Power, i luckily obtain Urgash Call, and also the Pendant of Mastery, and i managed to make 6 stacks of pit lords in my battle againts his dungeon, my 6 stacks of about 100++ pit lords can deal more damage than empowered meteor shower +50% earth damage artifact, a meteor shower from 1 stacks deals about 500++ damage, and if all 6 stacks cast meteor shower, it's about 3.2k++ total damage in one turn. Thanks to my 2 stacks of Archdevils, also my second inferno castle.
Back to the idea, i think that hellfire damage is too few, it's damage growth is not that big. How about increasing hellfire damage, and make it has a % chance to deals AoE damage. And Archdevil should have a good area damage fire spell, armagedon is okay, for suicide battle, and it suit inferno chaotic nature.

Hmmm... I could see quite some abuse coming from that armageddon ability though.
Buy new hero, give 1 Arch Devil, have Arch Devil cast Armageddon... Self-kill, but massive damage against a nearing enemy army at the cost of 1 arch devil and a weak hero. If armageddon does more than 200 damage you already more than compensate the loss of 1 Arch Devil.

How can it do 200 damage?
It only does 30+30*spellpower. so around 60 or so.
Yeah I know there will be abuses, but that's generally the Armaggedon spell.
Also you lose a hero as well (secondary) that costs 3000 or so gold.

it's calculated with a logarithmic formula (depends on size of stack of course). you can take a look at the manual.
besides, 30+30*power is for expert -- I doubt expert is a good mastery, considering Pit Fiends currently have basic for Meteor Shower.

Well the alternative is 15 + 15*P.
Soooo for suicide missions you need ... Uhr, about 13 / 14 spellpower to kill off your own Archdevil + 1 enemy tier 7 troops, plus other stacks...
Alright, so no rushy with 1 archdevil.

Doomforge you must be pro at this game by now .
Myself havent played it for the last year. Simultanious turns looks nice. Thinking about starting playing again, wanted to know if much have changed for inferno so I browsed the forums. Seems as if it has not
Its not a valid tactic anymore to use familiars to drain opponents mana with another hero, flee, summon to the main hero and attack again? Worked nicely ins ome games I had back in the days.
Are annoying out of sync issues still occur? Or can you play the game on the internet now without worrying about this issues? Also does simultanious turns work out good? A bit off topic I know, gotta make upp my mind wether to buy the expansion and start playing again

Also would like to add, took you (doomforge) 1.5 years to end your inferno crusade. I dont know if thats a good or bad thing Im gonna play inferno only if I go back though and continue where you stopped

Welcome back, haven't seen you in ages! Yeah simultaneous turns works fine and as for desyncs they only began with the new hamachi version but can be avoided by using the previous one
With TotE and the inferno alternate upgrades you'll have new things to take into account

lol do you have to use hamachi still to avoid out of sync errors? Cant you play over ubi.com?
And what is Tote? and when is the new expansion comming? Will it be sold in stores or free?
Man I now I really really wanna play this game again, it has settled over night. Anyone care for a game this weekend maybe? Gonna try buy the expansion untill then.
