To some question in the thread:
As far as I remember, the premise of ME2 was for the reapers to gather enough intel on humanity via the collectors, so that erasing them from existence would be easier. That said, Reapers' primary goal was fixated upon humanity, not the organic life as a whole (as of the game). Probably the third installment is based on the fear inflicted by the reapers upon the other races and getting them to help humanity.

The regular melee beats heavy melee in all regards except sneak attacks. That's why it should be tough enough to use as one.
Krogan female is just a single woman. For a symbol it works but for any real reason it's just a single woman. You'd need millions or thousands for it to be actually effective.
You could perhaps radio the guy to bring the Krogan to the next station when it's secure? Not when it's manned by enemy forces! Logic, man, how does it work?
Working with aliens is totally different from working for aliens.
ME1 inventory worked okay. You had different pockets for items so it was clear. Only problem was the upgrades being invisible until chosen.

here's a great but little bit spoilery video showing off the entire Normandy interior
its bigger, but looks emptier
I saw a number of empty rooms there, maybe they will be populated depending on your save transfer
I also love how you can invite people to your room and how there's one lesbian and one gay character lol

I loved the bit where the thresher maw decides to take a bite at the reaper. Also I'm tempted to get the deluxe edition to recieve the prothean companion.
Minor Spoiler.
Edit: I see the Reapers are ****ing everything up not just earth, makes sense and reminds me somewhat pf Dragon age.

Planet Vecchio.
Quote: On a recent tour, the Alliance surveyor ship Kupe discovered a group of partial graves hidden in the equatorial mountain ranges. The ancient skeletons in the burial sites were obviously humanoid but incomplete and poorly preserved, which has made them difficult to identify. Fragments of primitive ceramic grave goods were also found nearby. This raises further questions about who once traveled to this inhospitable planet since the closest garden world, Volturno, has no intelligent life. Human universities are planning further archeological investigations.

I watched all the spoiler endings.
I am disappointed, they kinda ruined it for me... I really hoped that they could say more about the Reapers than they implied in the end.
Well,so much for the hype.
I wont be revealing anything btw,no worries there.

Well, I've got ME3 now and have played for about fours hours (and i'm still only at the very beginning!). Unfortunaly, there were zero copies left of the N7 Collector's Edition so I just bought the regular one.
Anyway. Mass Effect 3 is really an AWESOME game, i'm only at the start of it but it looks like its going to be the best in the series. I don't get those people who give it like 1/10 on Metacritics. Sure, I don't think its a 10/10 but 1/10? That's not a reasonable.
The start of the game is pretty linear and I've just completed that part of the game.
The intro is the same as in the demo, with an added scene with the Virmire survivor. After that, you get sent to Mars and meet a familiar character. The character was my love interest and I think our romace got refrenced in one of the cut-scenes there.
The Mars mission is awesome and really fun. The enviroments in this game is amazing. Far better than ME1 and 2. I also love the apocalyptic theme of the game.
After Mars, you get sent to the Citadel which has changed again.
The ME1 Citadel is still the best, but the Citadel seems to be bigger and better than the lame ME2 one. It's also really beautiful and has looots of amazing vistas. You meet several characters on the Citadel and you get the option to let some of them stay on your ship. I think that is amazing.
One thing I love is how your characters actually get off the Normandy now and do stuff on the Citadel. Like you can find James Vega (who feels kinda lame so far) enjoying the view from the Human Embassy during one visit to the Citadel, and during the next visit he's in the bar!
However you are now alone on the Citadel and your squadmates won't follow you around anymore. I thought that was kind of lame.
I also don't like how the Citadel feels very, very disconnected. Everything was connected in ME1 and it made the Citadel feel much larger. Now, elevators are connecting it... (but it's not like the ME1 elevators!)
After Earth, Mars and the Citadel you finally get access to the Normandy which just looks amazing in this game. It is bigger and better than in both ME1 and ME2 and the loading screens are super fast and barely noticeable. It looks amazing and I absolutely LOVE the new command center that's on the Normandy. While there are fewer squadmates, crew interaction feels a lot deeper.
The UI looks and feels a lot better, smoother and more functional.
Space exploration is also better and more immersive. The feeling when you are exploring a solar system and hear the sound of the Reapers chasing you...
I kinda liked planet scanning and the new, simplified one is okay. I like the new scan function.
And now, i'm going to Palavens moon which is pretty much getting obliterated! There's full scale war and the Turians are getting hit hard!
The story so far is pretty cool but I'm a bit disappointed with how they're planning to deal with the Reaper threat...
So far the one major thing that I don't like in the game is the texture quality.
A 2012 game deserves much better textures and the occassional texture bugs kinda break my immersion because otherwise, Mass Effect 3 is an extremly immersive and great game.

There's a crash at a crucial point in that first day DLC thingie.
Some might think it's sloppy work, but it's actually a devious antipiracy measure. Namely, people who download and crack the game will invariably think there's something wrong with their installation and spend gratuitous amounts of time and effort trying out all sorts of things to make it work, before finally realizing the crash has absolutely nothing to do with that, in an emotional whirlwind of fury and desperation.
