Speaking of pistols, I really like the Carnifex and Talon. I have gotten many kills with both weapons. Sometimes that is all I will take as a Turian soldier.
For adepts and sentinels, I stick with ultra-light-modded SMGs or maxed Avengers. Gotta love the 200% power regen rate.
On a final note, I'm glad the Goliath weekend is over. I'm so sick of Banshees, especially since I promoted my Adepts and Sentinels.
I have yet to get my carniflex. the past 6 packs have all been random nonsence i dont need. not to mention i never even got a barrel for my heavy pistol. i did get the arc pistol but i found it rather bad. so far my phanlax? with a lvl V mag mod works okay i guess.
I have 200% regen rate with it tho maybe because i picked the Decrease heavy pistol weight.

I feel the Carnifex is better than the Talon and have pretty much used it exclusively since I acquired it. It holds two more rounds in the clip, weighs less, and the only trade off really is a little damage. Keep in mind, however, that my Carinfex has been upgraded to level 3 or 4, while my Talon remains at level 1 due to the fun of trying to upgrade N7 grade weapons.
I did unlock the Widow the other day but unfortunately, my sniping skills are mediocre and Infiltrator's tend to be better shots.

Yeah, infiltrator gets ridiculous bonus damage for sniper rifle, especially with stealth but you can use them effectively with others as well.
Pick your target, headshot, back to cover, move, repeat.
Priorise enemy snipers. Then shieldless advanced enemies.
In case of shielded enemies try to pick someone whom your team is targeting so you can finish them off when their shields run low or take out their shields and let the team finish them off.
If you're infiltrator just hit stealth, headshot, back to cover, move, repeat.
If you've got biotics lift combined with sniping is amazing.
Just keep in mind that the load between shots is long and enemies will know where you are. So always take cover between shots and always move in cover between shots.
While the sniper is effective against armour you should try to pick off enemies instead of wearing down a full armour mech. This will give the team more space to maneuver.
Should go without saying to take the damage upgrades for sniper. Accuracy is high enough already, stability is useless, weight can be considered.

Quote: Well, guys and girls, it seems congratulations are in order for the Mass Effect 3 multiplayer community.
On Friday, BioWare issued a challenge for the game's multiplayer fans, dubbed "Operation: Goliath." The first part of the N7 Challenge was to beat a Silver difficulty round against Reapers, all for a chance to unlock an N7 weapon come Tuesday evening. The second part was a community challenge for killing 1 million Brutes.
Turns out, the latter was a huge success. Not only did players meet the 1 million goal, but we've exceeded it as well -- by more than a whopping 2 million. Over three days, Mass Effect 3 players have killed over 3 million of these turian-krogan mutants, meaning everyone will be receiving some free multiplayer goodies on Tuesday.
I myself got twenty atleast that could not have lived.

I'm not sure how many I bagged. Probably around 50 or so... I played a lot.
I find it humorous how zealous players were in slaughtering brutes.

actually vanguards dont really need firearms, only to soften up bigger enemies. Most of the time I just snipe targets with bionic charge through huge distances and cover, get 100% shield back, forcepunch, roll away and after that my biocharge is up again.
The shotgun's there mainly for the melee damage boost

I had to deal with two such clowns earlier today. Two level 20 vanguards rushed 2 Geth Primes surrounded by 3 or 4 pyros and 3 or 4 hunters. We were on a time hunt. They raged after nobody came to their rescue.

You should try Charge+Nova+Heavy Melee, I've yet to meet a group of enemies who can stand that.

Personally, I would like Vanguards to be taken to a back alley and shot.
It would improve multiplayer greatly.

Correction: Human vanguards needs to be shot.
Asari and Drell are fine in my book. I just get tired of people thinking they are invincible due to the charge-nova combo.
The best is watching a vanguard fly into a brute with the combo and then getting 1-shotted by the brute's slam ability.

Or impaled by a banshee. Atleast they put up a half decent show before they die.
Also I've unlocked the N7 Eagle. Not sure if the Valkyrie is aquireable

I got the Crusader. So far, it's OK. I prefer the Spike Thrower, Geth Plasma Shotgun, or Claymore.

I got a Widow upgrade and the N7 Crusader.
Somewhere, somehow, I picked up the Revenant. I loved that gun in the campaign so I was stoked to get it. Claymore + Revenant on Krogan Sentinel is fun.
