Yep, the TOH MOD has served it's purpose as an intermediary measure to cope with imbas before we see the new official patch. Currently, the MOD obsolete.

Sadly, UBI has actually increased power of arcane archers, lol - this still remains the one neglected major imba.

well I think we need atleast 1 MOD and thats a mod who nerfed thats Archers.... sometime their dmg. is just to freakin stupid to handle....  (and can for sure be a gamebreaker....)
I'm usually not so found of any in game mods... but 1 who will tweak Arcanes....  well it's a go !!

Indeed... In game today with Vimp... I seen 126 Arcanes take down 27 Black Dragons with 1 hit... That is quite silly.  A mod is NEEDED for them for sure...  There ability shoulda been nerfed atleast the same as Flaming arrow.. dropped to 50%

Sylvan most of the games don't have super magic or war machines, creeping with tent and balista or without it's big difference... Arcane archers are for compensate that and for stop early rushes on small maps ... Here, in this tread all agree that Sylvan are week on small maps Sylvan on small maps
Played in 3.1 game vs Willgefors on random map ... Comp says moderate Willgefors army, i have 2 dragons, arcane archers and all army from my town,  i attack, all my army erased (shift+delete ) by balista ...

In our game vs sq, his arcanes led by Ossir shot down 23 magma dragons in one lucky, favoured enemy shoot. I was not surprised at all.

I attacked them with my shieldguards, and in hand to hand foe they killed approx 350 of them.

And his attack was aorund the same as my defence.

Arcane's are not very imbalanced as they are, but Ossir's Arcanes are ! I think Ossir should be allowed to recruit only Master Hunters

Also, I find crazy, the Imbue Arrow skill ... when did they remove the ATB cost from it ?! It is too good this way , and imbalanced when compared to Mark of the Wizard 50% ATB removal.

well after having played few games with sylvan and 1 i finished against them i'm pretty sure some things are really broken there and that's not arcane archers

the biggest imba thing is imbue arrow

if a sylvan get destructive and that pretty easy to get he can cast up to 4 spell at the time and give incredible dmg ,also area spells can be imbued and in my mind that's really not balanced good ,it's balanced terrible there is no way to defend against that

i had game against necro lately and i had destructive and imbued fireball eith master of fire ,had pendant(4 targets) and high druids to boost spellpower and i did over 1000 dmg with each arrow although my opponent had 2 dwarf arties(40%magic proof)
and in my game with sylvan vs sylvan i had destructive my opponent didn't ,he was really lucky to play before me with almost all his units so his dragons act first his druids kill my archers his archers luckily for me killed half of my druids i chanell and imbue deep freeze and guess what happened next all dragons dead ,all archers dead all unicorns dead
in another game i was haven my opponent had sylvan ,i had pretty much better army (Klaus with 76 champions 18 Archangels)cause he lost really much of his army and in that battle i managed to win(with incredible losses all champs,archangels crossbowman died due to imbue arrow) but my opponent fled and after some talk we agreed to call it a draw(he is a nice guy)cause i didn't stand any chance in the 2nd battle although played better that game

if that's not too much i don't know what is

high druids can up the spellpower to incredible numbers easy higher than wizard or even warlock or necro

and that's the most broken think in this game

Balance issue for Academy :

Can we mod initiative mini artifacts to have a non-linear formula ?

Example :

Knowledge |  %Initiative

     0-10   |     1%
     10-20  |     0.75%
     20-30  |     0.5%
     30-40  |     0.25%
     40-50  |     0.15%

and so on...

So basically, a Wizard with 32 Knowledge would give an initiative bonus of:

0 * 1% + 10*0.75% + 10*0.5% + 2*0.25% = 23% intiative ,

instead of 32% ...

not very big difference, but for a wizard with 60 knowledge, the difference would be important.

The whole idea is that everyone considers +20%/-20% init artifacts(ring and staff) , imbalanced, especially toghether, so 50% init mini artis are even more imbalanced than that.

Good idea! Yet, do you see a way this mod could be accepted by players in the community where all change is subject to resistance? Same goes for arcanes, staff/ring etc...

Initiative drives ALOT of the imbalances in this game... If you fix the acadamy mini arts as is suggested and do like I did on genesis and make the ring of speed fall into the sword slot.. there would be no reason to ban them arts.. Would solve alot and balance things out.

I dont know personally... But Fiur Does  He made the Ring of Speed fall into the sword slot MOD for my Genesis map.

I have some new entries for the MOD:

1. New Storm Wind, is ridiculous ... Ghosts with speed 3, Drags with speed 7 .... and on top of that initiative killer. Basically it's a super ability, even better than some whole skills.

My solution: -20% initiative, -1 speed

2. Rune of Ressurection/ Rune of Battle Rage... this is crazy rune, healing 40% of the dead creatures is something that even a hero cannot do if the army if very big, so why should Dwarfs have 7 pseudo-heroes on the battlefield ? Last Stand + Rune of Ressurection combo is insane, basically you have to waste some top hits on 1 hp stacks

  Rune of Battlerage, all your creatures are suddenly hydras... Of course everyone understands why this is imba rune... hydras are slow creatures, and so they are doing damage very seldom... giving their ability to fast creatures is insane!

My solution:

Ressurection: make Ressurection rune depend on hero lvl or spell power, like half of the normal ressurection or something.

Battle Rage: make Battle, act like the Cerberus ability, instead of the Hydra ability ... still imba if you ask me, but at least its something

?!? Rune of Charge: new speed = speed + 50% * speed, instead of double speed
