Strider Hl-Kispagat Ceasar semifinal in TOH chatroom live
Dear everyone,
It seems that we start to rumble in Moria (Twilight world 1.6), and as I promised earlier, I will try to make a live broadcast in the toh chatroom. Also, if I get some help, I will upload garrison fights here so anyone who is interested might have a close look on the games.
We are about to start around 9PM tonight. Approx 3 hours session today. I think this will be enough for the 4-5 days, including first, shipyard garrison fights.
Yesterday we did the strike out:
First heroes are mine:
1. Deleb-Nur
2. Yrbeth-Irina
3. Alastor-Svea
4. Grawl-Deirdre
5. Galib-Gilraen
Strike out went on like this:
Kispagat 3
Strider 1
Kispagat 2
Strider 4
I made a mistake, I should have begin with 2rd matchup, but this is irrelevant now.
I think that Galib vs Gilraen is clearly a bad matchup for me. Sylvan is the strongest faction, with huge creeping potential. Even early logistics is an advantage here, and naturally sylvan has lot more chance to get it than my academy. Also Gilraen is a strong hero here, knowing the amount of lvl 2 dwellings. Naturally, I will use my hero from tavern, Galib is quite useless against sylvan, so its up to the dice now a bit. I hope I will not meet Razzak there, all the rest are quite ok.
I knew that Strider will strike out 1,4. So I needed to decide between Alastor vs Svea, or this matchup. The reason why I choose this latter is because Strider is very good with dwarf, and chance for useless inferno hero is high. (Alastor also not a good one here.)
I chose red side.
I will try to tell anything to the visitors in the chatroom, but please accept, that I should keep some information in order to surprise my opponent.

stupid chatroom besides the incredible 30sec lag (had only downloding 1 torrent with low speed), after 20min of being idle(!) it kick me out!

Yesterday we played first 5 days.
Faiz became my main hero, which is not the best, but may do it.
Everything went planned, except the garrison fight. Strider did a good job, so I had major, but not critical losses.
Strider convincingly took his garrison.
The only good sign for me is that I think I am a day ahead to take the gold mine.
His stats very very good, my attack and def is 0, and sp only 3 but my knowledge is 15, which is high in this phase.
After the battle its clear that his Gilraen will have light, attack, def, and luck. Fifth skill is unkown yet.
Today we will have a shorter session, starting from 8.30, approx 3 hours from now.

Tonight's session went in the sign of Kis at the expense of my arrogant mistakes hehe
First, i lost with 2ndary the gold mine fight due to pure overconfidence. It cost me 2 treants, all fodders, 3K for buying back the hero (with arts), no fresh troops from tavern and lost 2 days as i had to take that battle with main pfff
Second untypically miscalculated mistake happened in Kis garrison fight where instead of capitalizing on finishing off his mages, i tried to dmg also gremlins. I hoped that his unmanageable ballista and retaliation from gremlins will kill the remaining earth elementals... sadly, haste on elementals ended a tiny bit before their next move that didn't allow me to get another retaliation from small suckers and end the battle with unregenerated mages grr
At present point, Kis has advantage of 3 days and that is huge handicap for the total game of 10 days. Let's see if i manage to pull a trick and turn the tide hmm

Ye, suicide world showed his teeth first, but surely not last time.
True that I have time and - I guess - economic advantage, but on the other hand I creep without proper spells and sp 3, and I needed to skip lvl 6 dwelling.
Also, both my garrison fight was bloody, so it not over, not at all.

Edit. Just watch the replays. Nice replays, look so extrim ... I wonder if this is home preparation or is usual creep level for Kispagat and Strider ... Can you guys creep so extrim on random maps ? Credits to Kispagat, very nice reanimation of mags, i think they saw tunnel with lights that bring people to Haven

pfff... i almost cannot believe at my urge to show style and extraordinary action against Kis hehe And i paid for it with yet another 2 treants in garrison what should have been zero losses battle... From one side that is good - Kis teaches me humility From other side, this army loss tragically damaged my creeping plans grr
The game is very interesting.. i hope i can improve and chase Kis down sooner or later

Hmm, perhaps i'm rusty from inactivity but that is not the reason I just was taught to avoid overconfidence hehe
But today Kis showed me his favorite "lucky sucker" skill haha Imagine, in garrison fight my sprites left his titans with 2 hp... But even with this luck i would still kill him in next sprite turn... but, but... his gremlins pressed defense and got morale and his empathy hero jumped ahead to save his cute ass
As for the game then it seems i slowly even the balance out. Now i have better chances than yesterday

Well, balance is so far away. Strider took his first megadwelling and extra took gold mine. Time handicap gone, and he seems to recover from economical problems. His army on week 3 is INCREDIBLE:
3 green, 20 unis, 4 treant, 121 arcanes (!!!!!!!!) 15 elder. I wonder how it was managable.
Yes, in fact I am hell lucky with the battles, but all other aspect of the game is a disaster for me. Lvl 20 without light magic skill is a disaster, if it will not come in the next 1-2 levelups no need to play further. Academy vs sylvan without stromwind is just a 2 turn battle.
I will try my best, but I would not give more than 5% on me.

Our first game is over. Well deserved win by Strider, even my blunder forced me to give up, but I think to play on would be only waste of time.
He took the main down garrrison without any effort and a piece of luck, it means that sylvan is able to kill those garrisons in week 5.
I tried to clear the balrog garrison, which should have been relatively easy, if I do not fall in love with the fact that my lvl 6 guy would cause 598 damage on the 599 HP Balrog. And guess what, right, 1 luck took affect and I left 5 titans in the battlefield.
I was lucky all the way with garrison battles, but all other aspects were bad.
No slow, no decay, no puppet in town. No light, only at lvl 21. I hoped for attack to get tactics, or logs for swift mind. High hopes. Still looking back now, maybe I should try to kill titans and wolves. Maybe next time....
