We could make an appealing title. If we gather 5% of total fans we will go burn ubi's offices!

Can't we just blame Elvin like the good old witch hunting days and then be over with it?
Nah who am I kidding, let's say we'll not only burn ubi's office, but we'll have a naked elf doing it!
Still I think the best way is to reason with them, so maybe if we could agree on a letter listing up the problems and why ubi should be concerned (i.e. why they'll loose money and go bankrupt, or something?).
I mean it'd probably take a whole lot of dedication, after all I don't think they'd take any undocumentared fact for truth.

I think you're being naive. In there eyes we're just cranky customers, people who'll complain and then go and buy there game anyway. To them, we are money! They won't listen to us! They think we're all just idiots. Simply put, we're below them. Why? Because they're professionals, it is their job doing these things, and they won't listen to us amatuers. And why would they? As long as we're just several persons they won't care. If they see ten people complaining, it'll be ten less games sold, and then they'd only sell 999 990 games! As long as we're not a recognisable difference in number of sells, they won't care about us. As always, only numbers will have an effect on the people counting them!
So far we're expendable, and as long as we are, we're just a minor irritation.

I considered that of course and we have plenty of written opinions to cite as proof that it's not just a small gripe of ours. It could be a thread on ubi or we could contact Xhane to forward an email to her superiors I suppose. For now though I cannot spare the time to collect all the data, have one last exam on Saturday.
But the facebook I won't buy ubi titles will certainly speak volumes

Here's the group! We'll need links, pictures and stuff, but since I'm not at home I'm kinda in a hurry and can't access all my stuff(PS and things like that), so could some one do a spell check (hurry, as mentioned).

Maybe I should stock up on spare parts for my old machines. Anyone know where I can get some 512K memory sticks and a 5-1/4 floppy drive?
Or just use an emulator.

A hundred times more convenient
For example, besides the ZX Spectrum games loading instantly now, I can also make endless backups (very small for today's storage), won't "wear out" like tapes, and use newer computers and new storage media (new as in "not used", not as in "more performance") -- this is important because all hardware breaks at one time.

I have tried emulators before. I have a problem with how emulators works today, which is they simulate the game, but not the experience you get from the console.
Playing mario cart or donkey kong on the pc is just so much different than sitting in the sofa in front of the tv with the nintendo.
I think it is a problem that is not that hard to solve though, after all, you can connect your computer image to the television and probably also smaller, transportable devices as well.
Likewise you can install joypads to pc's, it would not surprise me, if you could combine the joypad, the image from the pc and then use wireless current.
Well the last part is way more complicated than the first, maybe a bad solution, and too hard for me to utilize anyway, even the first, because I don't know a smart method to get the image from my pc screen onto my tv.

I agree, unless we talk their langauge and to in line of their purpose, our saying matters as little as anyones else.
Can we do just that though, they'd most likely listen, otherwise it'd not have been their purpose or we'd not have been selling it properly, i.e. talking their language.

Being a professional only means you are making a living out of what you are doing, not that you necessarily are better at it, than people who don't.

??? Do you find looking at the nintendo itself 'an experience' worth having? Because that's what the PC is...
the human interface devices (joysticks) and monitor/TV has nothing to do with it. You can use those on a PC too if you so wish. But even better, on USB, so you can be pretty sure they can be replaced if they break

To me it is a big part of the experience.
Maybe I am just not very creative with my environment though?
When I used to play nintendo, I would sit in a very comfortable couch, usually in the living room, the screen of the TV was much bigger yet I would much further away from the computer.
So I am sure it is practically the same, but I am not creative enough to create such an environment.
For me, the pc is sitting rather close, on a not that good chair, on a table that is a bit too low for me and I have to look down to see the screen, all in all, if I sit there too long, it really starts to hurt, which reduces the experience quite a bit.
Also I enjoyd the gameboy. It was something I could take with me pretty much everywhere, which made it rather comfortable, since I always lacked the ability to be outdoor and play games.
Of course all these had faults as well, it could be very difficult to see the gameboy screen in the wrong angle, especially outdoors. Also the battery weren't that good, I think they usually would only last 1-2 days.

Since this is off topic I'll summarize:
Dude, what's so hard to replace the nintendo with the computer?
By computer I mean the computer, NOT the monitor, NOT the keyboard, NOT the mouse, NOT the speakers, NOT the chair, NOT the table... that tower-case holding all the components, that's the computer. Now I know some people punch their monitors when they get angry at their computers, but really, you're bashing the wrong object
