Keep in mind that, so far, this is before any of these DRMed games have actually been released - when Assassin's Creed 2 goes "live" for PCs in March, there will be war.

While the 10-20 games a year we used to purchase may not amount to much in your bottom line, hopefully it will be echoed by thousands of other users to send a clear message.
Furthermore we will no longer allow Ubisoft games at our regular lan parties which we hold weekly in our cafe. We will use it instead as an opportunity to educate people on DRM, privacy, and consumer rights issues.
We will recommend and campaign for others to do the same, until you change your policies or go out of business.

But I must remain faithful to Battle.Net!
Can't contribute to those that would challenge Blizzard...
I'm sure I will be able to play Might and Magic: Heroes VI just fine.

And yes Ubi has no plans to change their policy just because a few thousand punks will boycott their current and future games Even if they give it up a number of formerly loyal customers aren't coming back again. And who can blame them.

I'd certainly not be in the mood to try their games after that but if something really good comes out I might consider it. I don't know but I'll certainly have a few deterrents in mind should the situation arise.

To me, it doesn't really matter who've made a game or how they used to be. To me it is only what I get from the game that counts. I believe the same goes for any other situation as well. So if there's a game I did not buy due to the system, that I'd have bought otherwise, then when the system is gone I'd probably buy it.

Only for online play, I believe. But maybe blizzard's been discreet about it. Even if Blizzard have turned out to be the sell out most companies are, they are still extremely smart and really knows their customers. Will try to check it.

One went out to RPS - I haven't seen a reply yet - while I tried sending another to GameSpot UK but got back a server error notification. Maybe I ought to email that to Ubi HQ?

It's not really about the end result Kareeah, it is a cause. I know that a lot more gamers hate DRM and cannot directly influence Ubi's decisions but we have something to show. If anything public awareness increases and that counts.
