Eduardo backhanded Willhelm to shut him up.
"SILENCE!, I have a plan. I need Lianna here so I can tell her what to do. I still need you to steer this bathtub in case things get ugly. However, you've just earned the right to be shackled to the helm for the duration of this caper." Eduardo replied before having three people shackle Willhelm to the wheel.
"Belay Geralt's order! Hervin, get someone to tar up the upper side of that Shalak flag. And raise it at my order."
Eduardo turned to Geralt.
"Geralt, nothing personal, but you've made it abundantly clear your a wanted criminal. I want you to stay out of sight, you're to valuable to loose. So I ask you to either go back to the Island to the capitan or stay in your quarters. It's your choice, but you're not going to ruin my chances with this."
Eduardo turner to Hervin.
"With the top side of that Shalak flag tarred up, we can pass for a Shalak Privateer. Everyone knows that they would use anything that floats. Seeing how Shalak and Fortrind are not at war at the moment for what I know, we could ask for a parley. That is a good a time as any to gauge their strength."
"Ah, Lianna, good to see you. Do you have a dress with you?"

- I'd never saw Nurgunnen as 'people'. Still it would been entertaining to see him wringle on the deck like a worm he was from the excruciating pain that the toxins would gave him, don't you think? A shame that the helmsman scattered his brain around the deck. But still. As for the brew I have something you need. The Living Death.- He showed Eduardo a vial with a silverish liquid in it.- Catchy name isn't it? It puts the victim into such deep sleep that he or she appears to be dead. Just a few drops needed. And the victim becomes numb. While under it's effect I could take out a bullet from you and you wouldn't feel a thing. Marvellous.

- You know, making one would be a damn good idea. I have to remember that. It lasts from a few hours till several weeks, depending on how much you use.

Eduardo turned to the crowsnest. "How long 'till we're in signalling range?"
"A while yet. But they've raised the Fortrind flag now." the lookout replied.
"Grrr, fine. Raise that Shalakian flag. Lookout, I want to know everything that can be interpreted as a reply."
"Where is that damned cook?"

Simon had stood back from Eduardo and Geralt for long enough. Putting Aralon down on the deck beside him, Simon slid next to Eduardo. "What are you doing, Gun chief? What is the plan, and does it put Lianna in danger at all?" Eduardo could hear the dangerous hint in Simon's questions.

Mat bustled out of the kitchen, pots and pans clattering on the ground behind him. "D@mn, oh dear, oh... Oh dear... Um..." Mat ran up to Eduardo. "Um, head chef Mathew reporting for duty sir!" Mat was slightly drunk and the rum on his breath made this clear.

- The potion starts working after forty five minutes. It is completely tasteless, and therefore is undetectable. Will it be enough to set your plan in motion?- asked Zayl and drank some of the blueish liquid. After that, he started to stuff his pipe.
- oh and I can quickly detoxicate the cook if you need him sober- He said and inhaled some of the smoke.

"What part of 'Stay on the bloody island' don't you people understand? And what is that hatchling doing with you? Urgh." Eduardo raised his voice.
"Right, the first person who comes onto this boat without my express permission will get kicked off by me personally! Mathew, go and brew the strongest pot of coffee you've brewed in you life. You and You!" Eduardo pointed at two burly sailors. "Stay near the helm and make sure that Willhelm doesn't do anything funny. And whatever he begs or cries or pleads, DO NOT unshackle him. Geralt, Simon follow me. HERVIN! Capitan's quarters!"
Eduardo paced briskly to the captain quarters and barged in.
"Now we wait for Lianna and Hervin. Then I'll tell you my plan."

- I think I can guess your plan, or a part of it. You and the girl pose as shalakian elite or something. If someone boards us we politely offer them coffee drugged with Living Death. And then what?- Zayl exhaled a large cloud of smoke.

"That's certainly part of it. However, we are going to actually invite them on board. We're not posing as high-ranking elite, but just a privateer who's trying to make some money on the side. So that would be low-ranking elite. And Yes, I need Lianna to pretend to be my wife for that to be convincing. A Shalakian of my age that's not yet married would be suspect if the Fortrindians have any knowledge of Shalakian norms. But seeing how I, Lianna and the officers also need to drink from the coffee, to adhere to Shalakian Etiquette, we'd need have an antidote. And I'd prefereably have the Fortrindians back on their own ship when they fall asleep. 45 minutes is tight but doable. Even a ship that size, is crippled when their officers are asleep."

"Well that's why were here. The capitan is bound to have some sort of sash that we can use as such. That and some gaudy baubles. Also, I'd think it more polite to allow Lianna to chance her clothing here. Geralt, Simon, help me go through the capitan's stuff and help me find something usable. I realy hope to be able to stall them untill nightfall, so we can sneak the rest of the crew onto the ship first."

- Jackpot. Several bolts of finest Nerbulian silk. The captain won't mind if we cut a meter or two. Nice ones indeed. I think the turqouise one should do it. And here we have...- he took out a small ornate box and opened it.- Jewelery. Fit for an empress. Take a look.

Eduardo did not find much of use during his rummage, but he did order Hervin to do the same when he arrived.
He looked at the pieces Geralt had found.
"Yes, that'll do nicely. It seems the capitan has some sweetheart to make something up to when he goes into port." Eduardo said apreciatingly.
"And as for trouble, who do you mean? The capitan or the Fortrindians?"
