Arcturus stood upon the deck of the Eagle's Pride with his hands behind his back and Coldraven's body hanging from the prow of the ship. He coerced his old crew and the Imperial Guards into joining him. Only a a few stood with Coldraven, but they were easily dispatched. He looked up at the tempestuous storm in front of him. The Eagle kept going forward despite the strong winds and monstrous waves. Eventually an island appeared before them as a tall spire of rock sticking out of the sea with an ancient Durok temple standing on top.
Arcturus took his dagger out. He opened the hilt of his dagger and took out what looked like a long sharp splinter of ruby. He eyed it for a second and then thrust it into his heart. Immediately his eyes began to glow bright red and his veins turned to the same color, glowing within his body as shadows seemed to swirl and wrap around him. He lay on the deck, squirming and turning about as he convulsed in pain and agony. Soon enough it stopped, however as he got up, the shadows seemed to be with him and all that could be seen of his eyes were glowing red orbs of evil.
As they neared the island Arcturus grinned and ran up the deck. As he got to the prow he jumped forward. His leap brought him high upon the rocky cliff. He easily climbed up the rocky tower and came to the top. He entered the temple. It was filled with all sorts of ancient Durok statues and carvings. He walked through the temple as the statues came to life, red orbs filling their eye sockets as they bowed before him. He then came to a grand staircase that led down into the depths of the island. He walked down the staircase, creating a red light where he went. Eventually he came to the bottom where a congregation of seven ancient Duroks stood holding up a chest. Arcturus walked forward and they woke, lowering the chest down before Arcturus. The tallest and most magnificently dressed Durok came before Arcturus. In Acrturus's mind a powerful voice spoke that obviously came from the Durok, though his mouth did not open.
"Who are you that stands before us? You are not the Emperor nor are you the Empress. Are you the Prince?"
Arcturus replied, "No. Your empire has fallen. It is now the Tuletan Empire that rules. Yet even that empire is crumbling against the might of the Fortrind Empire."
"The Empire of heresy? No. Let them fall to the other. I can see that you are a being of power, yet it is not your own. How did you come by it?"
"I have recovered the blood shard of the last surviving Tchilitan Emperor. I buried it within my heart, fusing itself with me. I now command the storms as he did ages past."
"Any Durok shaman may control storms, yet you control more than that. You hold power over the storms created by demon's fire, rather than faith's light like they. With the blood of the Tchilitan Emperor within you, you are now a prince, yet not Tchilitan. What is your name?"
"Arcturus Ragnar Vorschaw."
"Then as the Gods' emissary, I bless you Prince Arcturus Ragnar Vorschaw. Rebuild our Empire and then you shall take your place in the heavens as the first god not of our kind. In your honor, Emperor, I grant you the weapons I have gleaned from you to be the best for you."
The Durok opened the chest and pulled out a long magnificent rapier inlaid with red diamond carvings and engravings that was as black as night. He handed it to Arcturus and said, "This weapon, is a gift from the old Empire to the new. Use it well to smite our enemies and to bring death upon them. It is made so that not even immortals will survive its strikes."
Arcturus took the blade and drew it. It was as if it was made for him and for him only. It was perfect.
The Durok then pulled out another blade. It was a dirk meant to go along with rapier in battle. It was designed similarly to the rapier. "This weapon is as lethal as your other. Use it well."
Arcturus took the weapon, observed it for a while, then strapped it onto his belt. He then said, "Thank you for these gifts. However, I have come for something more. The relic. One of the two pieces of Prophet Mal'shthari's weapon."
"I am Mal'shthari, and the relic...I shall only give to you once you bring the other piece. For each is useless without the other, and only I can reforge them together. Then you shall have the power to raise the old empire from the sea and to take your place on the throne. Until then, find the relic and topple down the Empires of heresy. Now go! Do not come back without the other piece!"
Arcturus returned to the ship. The storm had cleared completely and the sun shone. Arcturus kept the shadows within himself as he walked through the deck. He then announced, "We are to find the last piece of the puzzle, my friends! We must find the Revenant, and recover the final piece! Captain Garatzo, rename the ship. We shall call it the Bloodheart Vengeance!"
The crew cheered as a tall armored man, Garatzo, walked forward and said to Arcturus, "We are yours to command, Admiral."
