- Good call.- Said Zayl, took out his scalpel and cutted at least two meters of silk from the turqouise bolt. He searched the chest more and found a beautifly ornamented coronet.
- This, along with the bracelets and the rings from the box will do nicely.

Simon searched the captains quarters thoroughly, finding many useful nic-nacks that the crew could wear, even finding a ridiculous hat with a giant feather in it. "Their bards do wear hats of this style, so now that the captain has so generously 'donated' it to the cause..." He put the hat on, "Hope he didn't want this back... Hello, what's this?" Simon pulled up a few of the loose floorboards below the captain's desk, "Well well well. Hey, how wealthy should us privateers be?" He asked Eduardo while he pulled up a very, very locked chest.
"Disarm the trap on lock five..." Simon quickly pulled the locks apart and threw them and the traps that he disarmed to the ground. "There we go! Last lock, disarmed. Now," He opened up the chest, "how many-" Simon looked at the treasure and stopped moving. "Um... Geralt? Eduardo? Could you please tell me where all of these," Simon held up a handful of twenty or so gems that were fitted to be earrings, rings and necklaces of many different styles, "came from? Oh, and this." He held up the half of the artifact that Arcturus had been talking about. "I thought that this was at the bottom of some ocean or another."

- Either Fortrind or Shalak. But I suggest that you put them back. For what we know, they can be deserters. Or other pirates insane enough to take over such a vessel.- Zayl placed the cutted cloth on the table.- We better be as 'modest' as possible. Or if that fails.- a dagger sprung up from Zayl's right bracer.- But let's hope it won't come to this.

"Alright, doc. Whatever you say." Simon put almost all of the jewels back in the chest. "But I think that our privateering 'captain' here should have some fanciful decorations." He gave Eduardo two rings, one in-lade with a bright green emerald and the other with a polished black obsidian. "And I'm not one to pass up such a bounty myself." He took a ring with a small sapphire and two blood red star-stones studding it. "Because a bard must always look his best, my lord." He gave a small ceremonial bow. "One last question, should I or should I not speak with a Shalakan accen', me lord?"

Eduardo plucked the ring off Simon's hand.
"Remeber that we are borrowing, not stealing. The hat you can keep, but when this is over you're putting that hat back where you found it as well." Eduardo said sternly.
"Hervin, go see what's keeping Lianna. And if some of the crew members are barring her way, do whatever necesary."
"I think that this is enough for the time being."
Then with an incredibly heavy Shalakian Accent: "Asj forr the Sjhalakian accentsj, my Frriend, You besjt leave that to the prrofesjonalsj."

Don't try to take the ring back, by the way. I'll just get it one way or the other." He put the ring on his finger.

- SILENCE!, I have a plan. I need Lianna here so I can tell her what to do. I still need you to steer this bathtub in case things get ugly. However, you've just earned the right to be shackled to the helm for the duration of this caper! Eduardo replied before having three people shackle Willhelm to the wheel.
Willhelm snorted at the gun-chief, but he cooperated with the 3 sailors and went allong peacefully to the helm and grabbed it firmly before he was shackled. At his post Willhelm rotated the wheel to test how smoothly it would turn, while he ordered one of the sailors to the stern of the ship to check that the rudder also turned properly. After that he leaned against the wheel and took forth his pipe stuffing it with weed and lighting it. Just as he was about to put it into his mouht he stopped raising his eyebrows in surprise before shaking his head. And with a sight he started puffing while looking at the "enemy vessel" and listening to the gun-chief and the doctor.
- A shame that the helmsman scattered his brain around the deck. The good doctor said in a dissapointed tone, which made Willhelm jump and frown his eyebrows.
- Well excuse me for taking away you fun "good doctor". Willhelm grumbled sarcastic. But I don't find it perticularlily funny watching beasts like Nurgunnen roam about, ravaging everyone and everything in their path.
- Stay near the helm and make sure that Willhelm doesn't do anything funny. And whatever he begs or cries or pleads, DO NOT unshackle him.!! The Gun-chief ordered before moving towards the the captain's quarters. Willhelm grinned and chuckled.
- Don't worry landlubber. I'm not gonna make them raise the anchor hoist the sails and then ram us into the Man-o-War, just because i feel like it. Willhelm Shouted so the entie deck could hear him. I ight want to take us on a spin aorund the island though. He said with a laugh.

Arcturus looked at the Fortrind warship with his spyglass and said to Davaian, "The Eagle's Pride...Baron Felix Coldraven's ship. The Revenant doesn't stand a chance. Davaian, send up a smoke signal. Tell Hervin to loop back around to the other end of the island. We'll be there waiting for them. With any luck they won't try to trick the Baron. He won't stop at anything to get what he wants, and will not parley with anyone. It doesn't matter who it is, he will kill them. Signal them. Tell Eduardo that he must follow orders or die!"

- I'm going to take a better look at that ship- Said Zayl and went up to the deck. He took out his spyglass. It was an ornate piece of equipment, trimmed with silver and bearing the symbol of the imperial assassins, the lindworm. The wyrm was also pictured on his bracers with hidden blades.
Zayl closely examined the heraldly displayed on the flags.
"Coldraven. Bad news."- He thought. The emperor once ordered his assassination, but quickly changed his mind after the baron brought back five galleons loaded with treasure. He was also famous, or rather infamous for his cruelty. During a campaign at Termingran he killed a crying infant right before the eyes of the poor mother, just because he couldn't stand his crying anymore.
When the emperor recalled his order, the poisoning was almost done. Only one component was left to add. And as soon as the aristocrat would fall asleep, he'd never woke up. And with the performance Eduardo is planning Zayl had the best and maybe the only shot in taking out the baron. And Zayl has a reputation of a man that always finishes his job.

-Allright you lazy maggots, get off your @sses and start working! Rais the anchor and hoist those bloody sails! Well hurry up quickly now, so that i can steer this muldy hulk properly! Most anxius to get the ship moving before the warship could intercept them, Willhelm stood impatiantly waitng for the crew to start working.
-Lazy, fat buggers. He grumbled. Should be flogged all of them.

Eduardo showed up on deck. "What in name of the Pantheon?!"
He saw the smoke. "Hervin, translate that again, if you would."
"Circle the ship round, pick the rest up, obey or die. And don't take that last part too lightly."
Eduardo's face darkened. "The first oppertunity to make some money and that lunatic has to ruin it."
"New Orders, compaņeros! Get this bathtub moving! The-ignoring-of-Willhelm-order is hereby retracted until the capitan is back on the ship. Hervin, stick to Willhelm like treesap and make sure he doesn't try anything funny."
"I hope the captain's plan is better than Eduardo's. Or we're going to be in deep trouble. The guncrew better prepare the chainshots. Just in case." Geralt said to himself.
"I agree, but we're out of chain-shot. We've only got some bar-shot left and that won't cover a full broadside. We've got plenty of canister and regular, but that won't do us any more good in a chase."
Eduardo shook his head again. This was a great chance to earn himself some glory by taking out such a ship. He saw Simon come out of the captain's quarters and saw that he had helped himself to some more jewelry.
"Simon, you pilfering weasel. Put everything back and go find Lianna to tell her that we have new orders. Then make sure that hatchling of yours doesn't get in the way."

As the Revenant sailed around the other side of the island, the Eagle's Pride fired several rounds, a couple of them hitting the hull of the ship, but not doing too much damage. As they came around, they were met with the Captain's rowboat. The captain and his group went aboard and he immediately took control.
"Alright, you lot, we're going to have to head straight into the maelstrom. Sorry, doctor, but we can't afford to make any stops now. They know who we are and they will give chase. We won't stand a chance against Coldraven's ship in battle, and they'll fire on us if we try to parley. So our best bet is to head into the eye of the storm and get the artifact as quickly as possible. Then we'll either use its power to sink it or the storm will kill it off. Now we must sail smartly here. The Baron's ship is faster than ours with the wind, but we are faster against it. So Bellerusse note that and...where the hell is Bellerusse?"
A scrawny sailor pointed at a barrel of rum.
"DAMN IT! Alright, Davaian, you're decent at navigating. Until the navigator is refreshed you do his job and work with the helmsman. By the way, helmsman Wilhelm, I was going to say you are released from the brig, but you already are. So now someone go shackle him to...nevermind, that's already done. Good work, Eduardo. Now get down below and have your gun crew ready! We'll need these guns ready at all times!"

"Guncrew has been ready since that prize was in sight. We've only got a few rounds of bar-shot left, no chain, plenty canister and regular. All cannon are primed and ready, waiting for your order. <Sigh>" Eduardo droned sullen.
Eduardo was grumpy since they had abandoned the plan to take the ship on. His mercenary past prevented him to actively disobeying, but sure would make clear that he'd rather do something else.
"I'm gonna see if the cook has managed to make some coffee, if it's all the same to you."
