Mass Effect 3
Well I was gonna create this thread sooner or later so... ^^
E3 Trailer
Omni-Tool blade... sweeet. I hope they add some melee capabilities to the Biotic abilities as well... been wanting that ever since Kaidan told me about kicking his instructor's head off with a biotic kick.
PC Gamer Interview
Quote: Wrex will be… basically everyone that’s a main character is in Mass Effect 3. Everyone – every single team character in the entire series – is in Mass Effect 3, but not necessarily as a squad member. So Wrex will be there but not necessarily as a full squad member.
The squadmates we can confirm are Garrus, Liara, Ashley or Kaiden, James Vega, and the one that we can mention that we haven’t mentioned before is Tali.
Tali... sweeeet. Hope we get Wrex as well.

You know... my husband looks a lot like default male Shepard... kind of weird. Especially the one on the ME2 box. Not so much the ME1 box one.
Mass effect is a fun series.

One of the things I love most about RPGs is the armor, weapon etc. customisation, finding them, trying them, matching them, etc. In Mass Effect 1, I loved that. I spent a very big time on playing with my gear, putting flame coating to my ammo, then putting a combat scanner 4 to the weapon, then finding rail extension 5, putting it, changing etc. That ammo and weapon upgrades and that customisation was hilarious. But they ruined it in ME2. Everyone will use the same shotgun or sniper, if you find an upgrade, which are 4 or 5 in total, everybody's weapon will change to that. So there are at most 4 weapons of every kind. No different armor, only some research that can make everyone's armor stronger, or weapon research. So one of the most intriguing aspects of RPG is erased from the game for me.
The planet researches were also a big downside again in ME2 for me. It was brilliant in ME to search a planet, find a signal then go there in your vehicle and explore. But in ME2, you only search for minerals with your sensors, that's it. It is so random that you find some anomality and explore it.
So I really wonder how they will make ME3 in these aspects. I will buy and play the game in both scenarios. Because ME2 was also good. But ME was far more fun for me.
And btw, did it say June 2012? That's one hell of a wait!

No, they said 6th of Mars 2012. Yeah, still a long wait, but you can remove 2-3 months from your count ONLY 9-10 MONTHS TO WAIT!

In a day or two the spam bot will activate its signature/ad link like they always do. Those two should be deleted. I've actually seen these things contribute something to a thread once or twice but usually they just pull out phrases made of keywords from the conversation.

So... ME3 will feature voice control... well at least for Kinect. Not sure if the PC version will have it but considering a simple mic would suffice as a Kinect replacement... yeah PC gamers should get it too.
Basically you can shout out commands and stuff, like "Liara, Singularity", instead of pausing and selecting actions. You can also read the selections in the dialogue wheel out loud to select that option.
Honestly... this would be fricking awesome. In any other game I would consider speaking to my computer weird as ****, but when playing Mass Effect I do it all the time even without voice control ^^ It's just that immersive.

Cant wait for the final chapter in Shepards story arch in the ME universe.
I just think that there may be no way to make a perfect playthrough from ME 1 and 2. snow may hit the fan SOMEHOW in ME 3 anyway.
For example, even if you did a pure paragon from the past games. As an example.

Lol dude, the point of an RPG should be that there is no 'perfect' playthrough, there is only your play through, we all **** it up royaly the first time, and thats the way it should be IMO, get half yer team killed because yer an idiot .
I'm no longer loading back, in any games when I **** something, even if it's something small (In TW it's a real **** though, lost 6 huge battles in 15 turns, I'm a horrible General , if I can't rectify petty mistakes of course).
Also this game comes out on my birth-day which is always a nice touch.

It's why I love Oblivion, I don't get judged for massacaring some random village that happened to annoy me, and I'm not bound to anything via 'paragorn or renegade', I do things because that's the way I roll . Then again ME is much more immersive conversation-vise/ relationship-wise, but as I hear Skyrim will match it by allowing the player to marry, which will be a nice addition to it, but then again it's going to have the same problem I had with Fable, I get anchored around a family when theres **** to kill and people to decimate .

Good/bad scale is worst that happened to RPGs. It works nice in a star wars game since jedi stuff but Mass Effect? God damn that sucks so bad.

Then again not getting judged for your actions is equally bad, (Oblivion sadly )
Rengade and paragorn I think are a very good change from Good/bad, since both options are technically good, one is being an utter ****, the other is being an utter ****, but either way you get the job done and save some people.

Yeah but they ****ed it up properly in ME2.
You level Paragon by doing Paragon stuff. Thus you can't suddenly go Renegade when you feel like it, ya gotta devote yourself to one of the two or you won't be able to choose any of the interesting options.
Effectively forces many people to be either the goody-two-shoes or the I'm-a-total-ass character.
I don't like Paragon and Renegade to begin with though... I agree with Joonas... good/bad scales suck. There are decisions and of course consequences, I don't need the game to decide what is considered "good", I have my own vision of that.

Wait-wait-wait WHAT?! What do you mean you did not manage to max both scales?! THE snow IS WRONG WITH YOU?!
Seriously I never had the problem which you speak of(Well, I have those problems on the playthroughs I already decided that I would go full snow or full goodie-goodie-two-shoes but on all the other playthroughs I have not had that problem.)
@DarkShadow, why would anyone want to join the Reapers?! They got nothing to offer except genocide!
