I don't understand why did they change the voice actors for The Kingslayer and Iorveth. Those from the pre-release trailers seemed very good, maybe even perfect for these characters... Ah, OK, hopefully the new ones will do well. The Kingslayer's voice holds promise but I doubt about Iorveth's.
On the other hand, Triss is voiced better than in the trailers. The current actor suits her personality better.

Well, in Polish dub, Geralt sounds as good as previously, and Triss sounds as bad as previously, so nothing changed

Before he was running me down even though I had S pressed down to immediately be running when the cut scene ended but I got it on the first try when I fired the game back up. Geralt has now reached the first town and is encumbered so he'll be looking for a place to sell stuff.
I'm playing through on "hard." No snags yet other that that frustration with the dragon. For the talents Geralt has learned both the vigor levels, both vitality levels and the first parry level.

You planning on focusing on signs right?
I'm gonna try and get most of the more useful Alchemy talents (the +20% bomb damage sounds tasty), and then focus on swordsmanship.
I'll be relying heavily on items with my Geralt... potions, traps, bombs, throwing daggers... everything. Will use my Vigor for sword blocks and stuff rather than signs.
The Yrden and Quen are really useful anyway though,and you just gotta use the Aard when you see an opponent with his back towards an abyss . I like how despite focusing on certain skills Geralt remains a jack-of-all-trades... a really adaptable warrior.
EDIT: Still don't have any DLC besides english voiceovers and subtitles btw... just nothing... and the site still doesn't let me log in... and my DLC code isn't accepted...
I wonder if this is a problem with my registration? The code on the back of my manual was faulty... the game didn't accept key during installation, but when I switched the 0:s to o:s the installation worked... however during registration I had to use 0:s instead... so I have two different cd keys and therefore it doesn't know that I have registred the game or what? I'm so ****ing confused right now.
EDIT2: Official statement from CDPRED:
"We are currently experiencing problems with the Troll Trouble DLC. We are working on a solution for this problem. Good news is that the solution to this problem should solve all recent problems with the DLC. The bad news is that there is the problem.
UPDATE 1:57 AM CET: We've returned to the old way of serving the DLC but this doesn't mean that it solves everything. Most of you will be able to download the DLC. Some of you probably won't. We know what's the problem - it resolves around the DLC CRC being cached but can't do much about it at this very moment. This issue is very important for us as we understand how you feel. We will try to address this issue with a support software in the mean time and this problem should be solved finally with the incoming Patch1 - early next week."
Still dunno why I can't get mah DLC jacket though... might be the same problem. Will try again when I get home today.

Yep, my Geralt will focus on signs. I'm actually going to wind up with 7 points into the first witcher tree that unlocks everything else because you are forced to get 1 in parrying to unlock one of the vigor talents.
My goal is to minimize sword use so sign focus with support from bombs and traps with potions to boost sign damage, vigor regeneration, and survivability.
The shield sign [Quen] shuts down vigor regeneration so I'll try not to use it unless Geralt is cornered. But between the telekinesis, trap, and charm signs and the bombs and traps there should be plenty of crowd control with tactical play.
Maybe they'll get the Troll Trouble working for everyone. I just finished that quest chain for it. Very enjoyable.

No luck downloading the Troll here. According to the latest official statement, the patch coming next week should fix this. Otherwise I'm stuck in an endless connect - download - error - re-connect cycle. It's not that important though, the game has enough to offer already.

Tried full details - I actually have the same FPS as on low (!). 10-15.

No idea, maybe it adjusts itself to prevent your computer from burning up? 
Anyway, Triss is 5000x hotter in this game. The bath scene... ho ho...!
Interesting story development too... man this game is exciting. Haven't done a single quest so far that felt tedious or anything, just plain awesome.
Nearing the end of Act 1 now I think...

Naw. Checked out the forums, it appears many people experienced this.
Long story short:
The game is extremely poorly optimized for ATI card users. They will not even see much difference in FPS between Low and Ultra, and the game is likely to run very sluggish. ATI is working on driver update to give people a bit of breathing space. Should be released next week. GeForce users are in much better situation and they can also use beta drivers that speed up the game a lot.

Really? I have an ATI card as well and I'm not experiencing any real problems

yes ofc it depends on the power of your card.
Those dangling at the bottom of the food chain are screwed much harder if they have ATI card instead of Nvidia.

I rather meant that the drivers of some series might be more efficient for this game than other series.
I honestly wasn't expecting more than this from my HD4850 512MB... already ordered a new card though so new drivers for that one would be welcome just in case

I'm playing at high details now. Seems no difference. Still I get 10-15 fps at floatsam, and around 20 fps everywhere else, but it loooks wayyyyyyyyy better.
Also found 16:9 monitor, so I don't need to see those stupid stripes anymore. I find this aspect ratio not very fitting for an rpg game though.

Good for you
Just made myself an awesome armor with a hood, feels very fitting now that Geralt is kinda wanted... gotta conceal that handsome white hair hehe... nice to see armors that look a bit different too.

Today I used the "Cat" potion for the first time. Very nice design decision, creates a feeling that Geralt is a predator and the poor creatures that until recently have been hiding in the dark - preys. 
An enormous work has been invested in the small details. Hats off to CDP - they really seem to like their game. While part of the "magical" feeling of the first part is lost, so far "Assassins of kings" is closer to the atmosphere of the books. Which is actually more plus than minus for me.
