That's why I decided to go Dungeon, my love of mythology units. Now that Minotaur is confirmed, I have yet Manticore, Hydra, Medusa & Black Dragon to hope for on top of it.

I think Blackies stand a fairly good chance. In fact, I suspect, and I have said this many times, that Blackies are gonna be like the Green Dragons, The champions present in any line-up.
Manticores stand a pretty good chance of being in at least one and possibly multiple Line-ups. Same goes for Hydras, though I suspect that there's a bigger chance of Manticores being in multiple then Hydras. (Hydras might be like the Phoenixes)
Medusas have the worst chance, is suspect.

IMHO, Hydras will be more like treants... present as either a champ or one of the elites in two of the lineups.

I don't see Hydras being in all 3 line-ups though.

Me neither. Though I do hope they will be done right if included. I would not necessarily want to see something as in H4 where they weren't tanky at all. They were far superior to BDs for a multitude of reasons but still.
That said, I'd imagine hydras to be fast really, or at least have a no-retal as in former games as the snakes are sort of a swift critter. Lesser movement but decent initiative. But alas this is Ashan...

I think I'd vote a lineup that presents Black Dragon and Faceless as champions and Hydras as elite as my main priority. After that there are multiple ways to please me with the dungeon as I could take anything in the range of "too many dark elves" and "complete recall of H3 dungeon" and still be happy (unless there is something I really don't like from a game design perspective like the Dryad-Treant combo forcing to pick Treants).

Dream lineups to choose from
Sylsai's Blades
Core
1. Bandit -> Stalker - Melee, male Dark Elf. When attacking, Bandits has a chance to steal any small amount of resources from opponents. When they turn to Stalkers, they have the ability to be invisible for 3 turns. Bonus damage when they attack from being invisible.
2. Fury -> Dancing Fury - Melee, female Dark Elf. They are exactly the same as their H5 counterpart. Furies have attack and return while Dancing Furies can't be retaliated.
3. Beholder -> Evil Eye - range creature. They shoot eye beams. Each attack has a small chance to stun that target.
Elite
4. Minotaur -> Taskmaster - very strong and sturdy melee creature. They have double attack and they can increase the morale of any creature around them.
5. Troglodyte Riders -> Troglodyte Chargers - mounted Troglodytes riding on raptors. Riders are fast and can bite off opponent's head when someone attacks that target from the other side. Chargers take full advantage of the flanking system. They can charge on opponents and if there's an ally from the other side to where they are charging, they deal a huge amount of damage.
6. Rogue -> Assassin - male, range Dark Elf. Rogues attack using crossbows. When they turn to Assassins, they add deadly poison to their attacks. The more Assassins in the stack, the bigger the poison damage.
Champion
7. Black Dragon -> Shadow Dragon - melee. exactly the same as their H5 counterpart. Black and Shadow Dragons are immune to spells and Shadow Dragons has withering breath.
8. Faceless -> Faceless Puppeteer - male Faceless race. exactly like their H6 counterpart. Faceless have Shadow Strike and has a cooldown for one turn. It also has Mind Leash and Dark Purge which functions exactly like H6's.
Sorcerers of Menan
Core
1. Bandit - Stalker
2. Coven Horseman -> Mighty Cavalry - male melee mounted Dark Elves . Coven horseman can curse any opponent they hit while Mighty Cavalry are like Troglodyte Chargers. They take full advantage of the flanking system. Unlike Troglodyte Riders, they have a more "magical look".
3. Beholder - Evil Eye
Elite
4. Minotaur -> Taskmaster
5. Evil Gnome - Dark Leprechaun - male, range creatures. Also known as the Pranksters or the Tricksters, they can turn the battlefield into one chaotic mess by swapping positions of your units or enemy units. They also set deadly traps. Dark Leprechauns are like H5 ghosts. They are hard to hit.
6. Shadow Brother -> Shadow Priest - male, range support type Dark Elves. Since men are not allowed in the witches' covenant, the men of Dungeon who wishes to practice the same expertise created their own group. They are very sturdy and their curses are deadly.
Champion
7. Purple Dragon -> Amethyst Dragon - will put abilities when I get home.
8. Faceless -> Faceless Puppeteer
Eruina's Whip
Core
1. Amazon Warrior -> Amazon Sister - melee female Dark Elf. Amazon Warriors are not as strong as other core melee in other lineups but they are numerous.
2. Fury -> Dancing Fury
3. Beholder -> Evil Eye
Elite (will continue once I get home)
4.
5. - some female unit
6. Witch -> Matriarch - female, range Dark Elf. exactly like their H5 counterpart.
Champion
7. Black Dragon -> Shadow Dragon
8. Purple Dragon -> Amethyst Dragon

+1 for Mysteries of Malassa
Excellent line-up! I would just replace either Medusa or Evil Eyes with Troglodytes (the fungus-men, tanky version from my post) and you've got yourself a near-perfect Dungeon, which is also almost identical to H3 + Assassins, Hydras and Faceless. Personally, I also don't mind only 1 Dark Elven unit in the Dungeon (either Assassin or Matriarch, at maximum both but no more than 2), to identify it as a more racially diverse faction, with human, Dark Elf and Minotaur heroes etc (and maybe 1-2 Trogs).

Best Possible Lineup for Dungeon
Core
1. Rogue -> Assassin - fast male humanoid Raptor. His weapon is a dagger and he has the ability to hide for 3 turns. When he attacks while hiding, he deals double damage. Assassins deal the most damage when their target suffers from open wound effects such as bleeding and poison.
2. Blood Brother -> Venom Brother - compared to Rogues, they are slower but stronger and sturdier. They are also male humanoid raptors. These bad boys has the ability to weaken their opponents with every strike (aka Bleeding effect). When they turn to Venom Brothers, they can spit poison to opponents causing damage overtime.
3. Beholder -> Evil Eye - shoots opponents with eye beams. Evil Eye has a chance to stun their target.
Elite
4. Minotaur -> Taskmaster - strong and sturdy, Minotaurs are perfect tankers. They can also boost the morale of their allies and can do double damage.
5. Troglodyte Riders -> Troglodyte Chargers - mounted Troglodytes riding on non-humanoid raptors. Riders are fast and can bite off opponent's head when someone attacks that target from adjacent tiles (like H5 Grim Riders). Chargers take full advantage of the flanking system. They can charge on opponents and if there's an ally from the other side to where they are charging, they deal a huge amount of damage.
6. Shadow Priest -> Shadow Patriarch - magical, range, male humanoid raptors. They offer a variety of curse. They are hard to kill just like almost every Dungeon creature.
Champion
7. Shadow Dragon -> Black Dragon - melee. exactly the same as their H5 counterpart.
