He had a license for that kind of weapon as far as I know.
He crossed by boat, not ferry. There are rarely ferries to places such as that island.
And I have no idea how he got the uniform. It is not that hard to imitate one though. And if you know the right people I bet you could acquire one rather easily.

I just read a testimony from one of the young people on the island, she survived by hiding behind a rock. She said that people were fleeing away from him into the water and forest, but he would just mow them down, at first with the assault rifle, then with his handgun. He would try and coax other swimmers back towards him by saying that he was a police officer, and that he was there to help, shortly before shooting them as they came. Some people tried to avoid the carnage by pretending that they were dead, but the girl said that once he had shot them, he would walk over to the bodies and shoot them in the head as they lay.
It really is the stuff of nightmares. I remember what it was like in Australia after the Port Arthur massacre, I dread to think what Norway is going through. My deepest condolences go out to everyone over there.

If a person that was allegedly against the death penalty changes their mind because something really bad happened, then I don't think they were ever against the death penalty to begin with; they just never gave their view any thought.

I have started to read his book now and maybe its horrible to say but its a very exciting book and his diary is a very good and interesting read. He will probably end up giving me a few (less extreme) ideas since I am young and can still be manipulated a bit.
It is obvious that he is very intelligent and wants to be some kind of martyr for ultra super hyper omega nationalists.
And now, I have not changed my mind about death penalt after this. It is barbaric and belong to the middle-ages, not to modern liberal nordic countries.

That guy is so scary simply because he has such a clear goal.
He was targeting innocent people just because of their opinion and political view. He knew that the people at this camp was young and promising politicians, people that would very likely become the top of socialists in Norway.
So he basically just killed some of the people that would very likely turn into to the most powerful and influentially in future Norway.
He knew that they would be easy targets.
I don't know, usually when tragedies happens in the world I don't really care, or at least don't get sentimental and stuff.
However this makes me feel really sick. I just find it's disgusting that someone specially targets people the be sacrifices because of they views and opinion. To be slaughtered like lambs, just because he thinks it's right, that their death are part of something bigger. 
Now when he has committed the deed, he will try to convince people that he was right and that more people should follow his ways.
Lets instead hope and make sure this leads to more tolerance and unity in the world, so that his "crusade" may be a failure...

Aren't Liberals supposed to be stereotypically athiest and thus opposed to Fundamentalism?
People like this make my head hurt. I don't know why they bother getting out of bed in the morning. All this man has done was hurt his own cause.

The book is in english so I do not understand why Adrius had to translate it.
And its obviously not a copy as he has tons of personal stuff in it and guides on how to create bombs and he details his work to a 110%.

Wow,i hope people wont create a connection between playing games and murdering 90 unknown people. People love to say that shooter games did it to him,diverting the attention to what the real problem was.
Now all those people who opposed shooter games have something to moam
about.
ona a side note,i find it quite amaizing how the norvegtian police FAILED to act accordingly.
Firstly,there were more than a hundred kids on an island,why the hell were no policemen there?
Secondly,that gunner gunned people for 1 and half hours,where was the police during that time? Does not Norway posses some snipers of sort?
